| Lake Wohlford - 200 Acres Directions: Located about 6 miles from downtown Escondido, take Valley Parkway east for about 2 miles then turn left on Lake Wohlford Road. Lake Wohlford ranks among the best bass producers in San Diego county. Oak and willow trees line the sloping shoreline, with plenty of rock outcroppings. Consistent hotspots are Oakvale cove and the south shore rock pile.
