| Pokemon Gold and Silver are continuations of Green and Yellow, Red and Blue. In these versions you will have new areas to explore, and there will be about 250-270 pokemon (the new pokemon are said to be pokegods). (Rumors say you don't play as Ash in these versions) The new pokemon will have some new moves/abilities (so it won't be old moves from the red/blue versions). You can still trade pokemon from gold/silver versions with red/blue versions, however, the new pokemon won't workin the red/blue versions. For example, there is an evolved form of Slowbroin the gold game. If you trade it to the blue version, it would be a Slowbro(it gets downgraded). There will also be different sexes for each pokemon, like the Nidoran from red/blue versions. This means breeding! You can also cross breed and produce variations. Another new feature is the conceptof time. Thegame will have a timer so there will be nocturnal pokemon, who are only active during the night and you probably have to wait for some pokemon to wake up..... now that's cool! There will also be a skateboard now as a mode of transportation. Nintendo is taking the time to make this game in color for people who want to have better color graphics. These games are scheduled for release around June. |
