I looked in front and behind me
What I saw was pure beauty
The moon and the sun facing each other
Like duelers preparing to fight for the love of another
I watched and there they hung
I couldn't hear the birds but I'm sure they sung
Over yonder the sun glowed gold
Behind me the moon in ivory still bold
On forever watching and waiting
On forever, silent breath abating
I couldn't help but watch and stare
The sun as bright as a midnight flare
The moon slowly sliding down
The sun rising for his crown
The majesty of it all
Seemed to haunt and enthrall
No one but me taking notice
And I pray and thank God that I saw this
