Booze is what we love

When we get a kick in the ass or a shove

Whiskey rye a little rum

Soon will send you on your bum

When drinking has become your only option

I suggest you forget adoption

How would you feel if you were six years old

And you were one day told

You are going on a trip

And it will most likely be a drip

Foster parents drinking all night long

Don't have the courtesy to sing a song

While you try to sleep

You're always trying to keep

The sounds of puking and more

You have to get up and close the door

This is what it would be like

So forget about a tyke

For if drinking is all you've become

I guess you shouldn't be a dad or mom

So if your considering a child

Sober up or at least be mild

Remember they did nothing to you

All they want is your love it's true

Kids are what we need

To stop this world's constant bleed

Alcohol flowing through your system

Rarely helping you to listen

But remember in the end

You could be dead or without a friend
