My light is gradually diminishing

Soon I know it will be finishing

It appears I am doomed forever

To write poems using a heart as light as a feather

I'm not sure if I an keep this up

I'm starting to feel like a pup

Young and lonely separated in life

Not knowing if I should continue in strife

The girls I have been with (all but one)

Have dumped me before and after the fun

My life is starting to make me cry

I've given up trying to lie

I know not if I should bother

I know not if I will be a father

I hope someday soon I'll find

She who keeps me safe and in mind

But for now I'll continue writing on

Like the rise and fall of the sun
