| In life we travel and wonder We go on trying not to blunder We make choices and demands We give and take commands We pick the ways we travel And with each day unravel Unraveling our life’s struggle Wanting comfort as in to snuggle We can go left or right Sleep in the day or at night Go to school or stay at home Choosing to love or be alone Without realizing it sometimes We get trapped in helpless rhymes Ending up in an eternal rut Like the homeless or some common slut We try to make the best of Living in the nest above We reap what is sown Gather what is grown And continue living it out Some get sick and start to shout Those whose decisions were proved wrong Ended up making their life last forever long With no love home or strife They struggle on through life Sitting around and wanting more But always to chicken to walk through the door Knowing and living are two different things Walking and believing can be like when a choir sings Horrible and trying in practice but continually Beautiful and powerful when in perfect key As the choices we make plan our future We wait and watch ourselves mature As we go on living it out We think of what may come about We pray that our choices are right And listen for the answers in the night |
