From up above you were sent

You came and told me to repent

You meant to leave and go away

But I asked of you to stay

You sat and talked with me

You made me feel happy

I know you have to be going

But you’ve made me start showing

I kept my feeling bottled up

And now it seems I can’t shut up

You give me a reason to continue

You made me search harder for my vinue

I feel that you make me shine

I know you can’t be mine

But stay all the same

You help me relieve my shame

With talking to you I feel my heart lift

You make me no longer shift

You make me feel good

And I think this is how I should

You must go for now

As you leave I ask how

How it is you came to me

Why on earth you wanted me to be

All you say is He wanted it this way

And leave me with nothing to say
