Pierce Brosnan became James Bond in 1995's Goldeneye. Due to a legal battle over distribution rights of the James Bond films after Licence To Kill was released in 1989, there had been no James Bond films produced. Brosnan was actually originally up for the Bond role back in 1986, but due to legal entanglements with his Remington Steele television contract, he could not become James Bond. Brosnan received his Star on the Hollywood walk of fame December 3rd, 1997. The star is located outside the Hollywood Entertainment Museum at 7021 Hollywood blvd. His latest non-Bond film is, "The Thomas Crown Affair," which opened nation-wide August 6th, 1999. |
