Catch an abra as soon as possible. He is found in the two grassy areas right after nugget bridge. Once you find him throw a poke ball immediately. It may take awhile to get him, but trust me he is worth it. He will learn attacks like Confusion, Psychic, and even Recover. And if you doubt his usefulness, wait until Gary uses his Alakazam to blow you away.

When you challenge the 8th gym leader get a water pokemon that knows Hydro Pump thats at least level 60 and use Hydro Pump on every Pokemon of his and it should take them out in one hit. If it doesn't do not use Hydro Pump again. Use a different water attack because you need one Hydro Pump for everyone of his Pokemon! I took all of his Pokemon out in one hit by doing this!

I thought of a new stratagy on how to beat misty. first get jiggly puff,then make him/her first to fight staru 17, then use sing, then I used charmeleon,and use scrach 5or6 times,then repeat the prosses again with starmie 17,thats how i beat her,not garunteed to work.

tO GET ARODACTLE: FIRST LEARN THE CUT SKILL. THEN GO TO THE MUSEUM IN VERIDIAN CITY. RIGHT NEXT DOOR THERE IS A BUILDING. ENTER IT AND TALK TO THE SCIENTISTS INSIDE. YOULL GET A FOSSIL. TAKE IT TO CINNIBAR ISLAND AND HAVE IT REVIEVED AT THE SCIENCE LAB AT THE BOTTOM END OF THE ISLAND.

The code already here for Arodactle is wrong! Here's the right tip! To get Arodactle you first must learn the cut skill.Then go to the museum in Pewter City, NOT Veridian City! Right next to the museum is a building. Enter the building after you've cut the tree away. Talk to the scientist standing next to a pokeball. Inside the pokeball is Arodactle. Take The fossil to the Cinnibar Island Science Lab, which is next to the PokeMon Center, walk to the left and your at the lab. Go to the last door and enter it. Talk to the Scientist walking around near a machine. Give him the fossil and he will tell you come see him in a while. Come back and he will give you Arodactle. Do the same thing with the Dome Fossil, or Helix Fossil.

Tip: Before fighting Articuno,Zapdos,or Moltres save the game. That way if you fail to capture them you simply turn your Gameboy off then turn it back on. You should be right in front of the pokemon!!

Beginners
If you are a beginner and you are hoping for an easy break when battling wild pokemon in the beginning of the game, choose charmander as your first pokemon. Since fire pokemon have the advantage against bugs, the wild pokemon and bug trainers are a sinch. PLUS: charmander's final evolved form not only looks really cool, but can act as a fliying pokemon later in the game when you get the FLY hm.

Catching ALL Legenday Birds
If any of you have had problems catching ALL the legendary birds with Ultra Balls here's a tip for you: THINGS YOU'LL NEED: - A pokemon that know Hypnosis or Sing with Dream Eater at level 35+ (40+ recommended) - A 10 Ultra Balls (I recommend more, but results may vary) THINGS TO REMEMBER: - Remember to SAVE YOUR GAME before attempting to capture them - The legendary birds are fast DO NOT attempt to catch them unless they are asleep - Their life has to be low (almost dead) First you put the Legendary birds to sleep and then you use HYPNOSIS/SING on the bird, after you have done this, use DREAM EATER (or any other attack that won't kill them). Continue attacking them until their life is almost gone (about 5 ticks or so) and keep throwing an Ultra Ball at them until you catch them. Now, if they should wake up during this process put them back to sleep as soon as possible. Moltres is probably the hardest one to catch in this fashion, if all is successful you should have ALL three legendary birds. :)

If you want to catch Dratini go to the Safari Zone and surf out to the little island in the middle of the lake when you first come in. Use your Super Rod and fish around that island. If you hook a Dratini but don't catch it, fish in the same exact spot and he will be there again.

The easiest way to catch Dratini in the Safari Zone is to give it 5 peices of bait, throw a rock, 5 more peices of bait, throw another rock, then throw a Safari Ball

Tip: When catching Mewtwo use the Master Ball at the beginning ,but if you don't have it and you used it weaken Mewtwo and put him to sleep.Before you do this go to Cinnabar Island and buy some Ultra Balls to use it on him.This trick will also work on the three mystic birds Articuno,Zapdos and Moltres.

Evolving Eevee
When you get the thunder, water, or fire stone use one of them on Eevee. You should save the game before you do this so that you can use a different stone if you don't like what you evolved him in to. I suggest that you evolve him into a type of Pokemon you don't have very many of.
