Let's take a look at our stats from this last year:
Batting:
AVG GM ABs Runs Hits Bases 2B 3B HR RBIs SB
.280 162 5601 867 1568 2591 338 35 205 827 72
The Red Sox batting was once again outstanding. They were near the top of the league in just about every catergory. Although they were hurt by the bottom of the order, especially in the playoffs.
Pitching:
Wn Ls ERA Gms S Innings ERs BBs SO
92 70 4.18 162 53 1436.0 667 504 1025
The Red Sox really stepped up their pitching this year. The main reason for this was the addition of Pedro Martinez who is a great addition to the staff. The numbers really show that the Red Sox pitching has taken a big step. Now that the Red Sox they have the pitching to back up their hitting, things look good for the future.
