THE KILLER TOMATOES SAGA sponcerd by Pepsi

This is my shrine to the most misunderstood film saga in history. The carrer stars of Rick Rockwell and George Clooney ! The cream of the crop of low budget vegatable movies ! One of the most catchiest movie themes ever ! And even USA Today said it was one of the best film.....titles.... ever ! Here are some reviews of all four parts of the Tomato trilogy !

1) Attack of the Killer Tomatoes (1977)
9 out of 10 stars
This film defined low-budgit film-making.This is low budget PG rated horror-comedy-musical film making at its best ! Many called this the worst movie ever, but they just don't understand. When a chemical testing expirament to make bigger, better tomatoes goes terribly wrong, head for the hills ! The stop motion animation isn't as crafty and smooth as Evil Dead, but still worth watching. In short this film was awesome.

2) Return Of the Killer Tomatoes (1988)
10 out of 10 stars
My personal favorite of the series, the witty jokes are always on time and interesting ! I remember laughing all night on July 3rd. I absoulutly loved it ! Anyway, Dr. Gangreen is found to be responsible for all the Killer Tomatoes. He takes his tomato fetish to new heights by turning tomatoes into people. When a tomato girl befriends a thrown out fuzzy tomato named F.T., she comes to the big city to find a home. She stays with two young men (one of which is George Clooney). I wont tell you the rest because I don't want to give it away. I loved it !

3) Killer Tomatoes Strike Back (1990)
8 out of 10 stars
Universally considered the least of the series, but cresent fresh none-the-less. Staring a pre-Darva Rick Rockwell as Lance Boil, he, along with a tomato scientist, must stop Dr. Gangreen's talk show takeover plan to hypnotize the world. Some say the jokes were toned down due to the fact that there was a Killer Tomato children's television series at the time, you need to watch very carefully to catch all the jokes. Even though it isn't near as funny as "Return Of...." or "...Eat France" it's still DEFINETLY one to catch !

4) Killer Tomatoes Eat France (1991)
9 out of 10 stars
Some considered this film demented. Others consider it zany. I call it brilliant. This time the mad...er....excuse me... angry scientist Dr. Gangreen takes his tomato fetish to France. But when he, and his killer tomatoes, kidnap a singing F.T., the ketchup hits the fan ! Its up to "Michael J. Fox" and his french crush to stop them. Probably the best special effects of the series, as well as the most intelligent jokes. This is also the only time we actully see a tomato eat someone (an annoying tour guide, played by Eileen Bowman who you may know from doing the opening scene at the 1985 Oscars). This and "Return Of..." are the best of the series.

5) Killer Tomatoes In Space
The film is reported to be still in production. Apparently Four Square Productions decided to have the guy who brought us "Reefer Madness" direct it. No date is set for release, but all K.T. fans around the world are all hopeing for it ! We at In Your House will be the first to let you know.
