| Well, I seem to have finally caught some shit for this page. Here's the story of "Why I have an Eve 6 site." I started this site in August 1998, back when EVE6 were absolutly huge and MTV was heavily rotating "Inside Out." Eve6 still had a connection level with online fans and offered to put up any link to the site that a fan had with any relevance to EVE6. So, I slapped up a makeshift crappy EVE6 page with some downloads of rare songs and lyrics. Two years past and I never made their site. Bitter, (and immature) I took the site down. Instead, I put up a satrical "sellout" message, which I thought obviously mocked fans who turn and call bands "sellout," sort of an inside joke with my friends who knew the real reason. Note to self: inside jokes don't work on the internet where EVERYONE CAN SEE THEM! From what I hear, they haven't lost touch with their fans, and still have at least moderate creative control over what they do. More importantly, they have a signature sound and brilliant that is reminiscent of nothing else out their, and they're still successful. For that, I commend them. In short, charge it 2 da game. |
