Alright, here's some new TROMA reviews for the year 2002!

"All the Love You Cannes!" (2002, Lloyd Kaufman, Gabe Friedman)
10 out of 10 stars
Alright, I've seen over 150 Troma films, and I can honestly say that this is the absolute best! Imagine everything you love about Troma films, all the blood, breasts, body parts, and chaos. Well, it's all here in ten fold! The first film from the newly formed Dogpile 95 involves Lloyd and the gang promoting Troma throughout the Cannes film festival! Aside from several celebrities of the Troma world, including Yaniv Sharon, Heidi Sjursen, and Chad Ferrin, it also features Roger Ebert, Quentin Tarintino, and two other celebrities I don't want to spoil the suprise for, but let's just say one starred along side Brick Bronsky in "The Quest," and one seriously needs to eat an Ally McMeal. It also features an interesting feud between Troma's east side and west side with Scott McKinlley vs Doug Sakmann, along with a great score with new music by Jane Jenson and Count Smokula! See it!

"The Astro Zombies" (1972, Ted V. Mikels)
7 out of 10 stars
From the director of "The Corpse Grinders" and "The Girl in Gold Boots" comes this film starring Tula Santana and John Carradine. If you are a fan of his other works, this film is a must! Without giving too much away, this film is bout a device everyone wants. There, is that too much? See it, or forever doubt it's existence.

"Baby Doll Murders" (1992, Paul Leder)
8 out of 10 stars
This film, about a serial killer who leaves baby dolls at the scene of his crimes, was suprisingly good! The first 30 minutes are remarkibly boring, but once the plot picks up, the last hour is fabulous. If the entire film was as gripping and entertaining as the last hour, this would be a ten, but the slow start leaves it where it is. Well acted, and not preachy, this is a good pick-up if you can find it.

"Back Road Diner" (1997, Wilson I. Dunlap II)
7 out of 10 stars
A group of 2 Mexican and two African American men in their mid twenties venture into the countryside but wind up victim to hate crimes and false accusations. The dramatic elements of the film are well done, but the attempts at comedy fall flat. The ending is disturbing and well crafted to make you think, but the atmosphere could have been better. From 50th Street films.

"Citizen Toxie: The Toxic Avenger Part IV" (2001, Lloyd Kaufman)
10 out of 10 stars
The wait is over, Troma's long hyped epic "Citizen Toxie: The Toxic Avenger Part IV" is quickly making it's way around the country at lightning speed! This film somehow manages to top the original and will without a doubt be held as one of the greatest cult classics of all time! Opening with the funniest school shooting in history (the diaper mafia shooting up the Tromaville School for the Very Special) and featuring The Toxic Avenger, Sgt. Kabukiman NYPD, Dolphin Man, Mad Cowboy, Master Bator, The Vibrator, Ron Jeremy, Lisa Gaye, Joe Fleishaker, Lemmy, Rick Collins, the Sklar Brothers, Trent Haaga, Yaniv Sharon, Corey Feldman, Julie Strain, Kevin Eastman, and many more, this is required viewing for EVERY Troma fan!

"Demented Death Farm Massacre.....The Movie!" (1986, Fred olen Ray)
10 out of 10
This film is the first 10 out of 10 rating I've given in more than a year, and or good reason! Four jewel theives are staying with this backwoods bible-humping farmer and his underappreciated wife. This features everything a Troma fan could wnt. Gore, suspence, hot chicks, and a fat guy spouting some of the best dialogue in the Troma library! This film really has to be seen to be believed! Directed by Fred Olen Ray, who gave us "Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers," "Attack of the 60 Foot Centerfold," and Troma's "Haunting Fear." HIGHLY RECCOMENDED!

"Fertilize the Blaspheming Bombshell" (1990, Jeff Hathcock)
8 of 10 stars
This film, with a HUGE following is about a girl who keeps getting visions of her twin sister being attacked by a Satanic cult. When she investigates the murders, bad stuff happens. Well shot, well acted, features some boring nudity, but LOTS O' Pentagrams and other cool Satanic merchandise. Worth seeing.

"Haunting Fear" (1990, Fred Olen Ray)
9 out of 10 stars
From the poet of "The Raven" and the director of "Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers" comes this film about a woman who fears that when she dies, she'll still be conscience, only paralyzed. She is also fueled by suspicions that her doctor killed her father, and carnage ensues when her husband starts cheating on her. Well directed, this film is part of Olen Ray's Troma Trilogy ("Demented Death Farm Massacre", and "Wizards of the Demon Sword" are also included) this film has a good pace and a memorable cameo from Michael Berryman or "The Hills Have Eys" fame. Reccommended.

"Jakarta" (1988, Charles Kaufman)
8 out of 10 stars
This films, although not Charlie K's best, showcases his directing abilities from all possible viewpoints. This film is about a spy who goes to another land, falls in love, and has one exciting twist after another occur to him! Some parts drag on, but the two most memorable scenes in the film are the balcony theater scene which gives new meaning to "Hanging-out," and the final scene. While "Mother's Day" remains his best endevor, this Chris Noth fueled film is essential viewing for Troma's action series.

"Real Time" (2000, Max Allen Collins)
8 out of 10 stars
The first made for DVD film circles around a gas station that is being robbed on New Year's Eve. Seemingly filmed in the same style as Hitchcock's "Rope" (all in one take), this film is the first ever to be 100 % multi angle. Directed from the director of "Mommy" and writer of "Batman: Dark Knight" and "Road to Perdition."

"Shakespeare In....and Out!" (1999, Peter Shushtari)
8 out of 10 stars
This film, called the 'Spinal Tap' of the porno industry, is about a guy trying to break into the acting business by starting in the most frowned upon aspect of the film industry. He tries to do erotic scenes in pure iambic pentamiter, and winds up with a controlling girlfriend, and a nosy filmmaker following him. Fans of Orgazmo should check this out!

"Tainted" (1998, Brian Evans)
9 out of 10 stars
The best vampire film in Troma's library is this clever and witty gem which was best described as "Clerks" meets "Sucker: the Vampire." A player, a vampire, and a foulmouthed video store clerk who proclaims "Batman and Robin sucked!" everytime he answers the phone, are thrown headfirst into a wild night in search of an angry vampire who plans to poison the local hospital's blood. The humor is razor sharp, not a single joke misses, the story is inventive and creative, and the action will leave you on the edge of your seat! Somehow, a few important lessons about sex and judging others are woven into this fine film. The one flaw is that it runs about a reel too long, but otherwise it is a Troma classic. Reccommended.

"They Call Me Macho Woman" (1988, Patrick G. Donahue)
8 out of 10 stars
A woman discovers a crackm operation and flees them until she decides to fight back in VERY VIOLENT ways! A must see for gore fans of Tromadom. Some slow parts, but they lead up to violence! Cable title: "Savage Instinct."
