Modern Dance Modern dance was created by Isadora Duncan in the 1990’s. Because she preformed modern dance the best when she danced it she was made the founder. She put her whole heart into what she was doing on stage. This dance type is mostly represented as free style because many people like to add their own touches to spice it up. The purpose of this art is to make you see dance in a different way then seeing ballet all the time which doesn’t let your move your body to much to express motion. This art was definitely made to entertain people and open their ideas to new forms of dancing. This art was a disrespect to ballet because it goes against it standards by not facing the audience almost at all times and the moves are more free than ballet. The type of dance didn’t need any type of machinery to create it, it needed a person to who wasn’t afraid to make changes and other dances come to life. The technique it need was a person to open their mind and think of something people would want to see. Ballet was sort of and inspiration because it started the whole creating modern process. Since people wanted a little more Isadora gave them more. Well it depends on if you are going to see a professional play or if you are going to your kid’s recital. If you are seeing a professional play tickets could run from 50-150 at any given time. Also you have to open a dance studio to learn this dance and you would have to pay to take lessons. Lessons could cost 50 and up at a regular studio, but a professional studio could be 100 dollars and up. A kid’s recital or show could between 13 or 20 dollars. If someone from the year 2505 were to inspect this art I think that they would think it was a form of communication and rebellion. That Isadora the founder of Modern dance was trying to get people to understand that sometimes we need to express ourselves. They will find out that there is beauty and that we like to express ourselves in different and in knew ways. They would learn that we were a nation of rebellion and we had different ideas on things and like to change become more advanced and we like to dance. Dancing is a way that we got or communication out. The generation of 2505 would realize that this is a great art and probably would want to keep it up. I know I have had experience with it and have had so much fun. If you listen to the music your heart will start to sing. I definitely think that the year 2505 will love modern dance. They will learn that you move with grace and beauty and that when you are on stage you, the music, and your body start to become one.
