And, the rest of the thanks goes to me, who had the pluck to create this page and wrote all the rest. ^^ Smilies If you're new to online communications, you may find this summary of "chat" etiquette and shorthands useful and illuminating. When you first enter a chat room, most members give a brief greeting, or wave (::waving::) or grin < g >. You can perform just about any action online with words with online choreography, for instance, "*walking over to JCJay, giving her a big hug {{ }}*". Some emoticons are typed so that you don't have to turn your head sideways to look at them. They usually look something like this: ^_^ The line forms the mouth, the two arrows form the eyes. See it? I'm making up new ones all the time, so come back and look sometime! Typing in ALL CAPS is considered shouting, so please spare everyone's eyes and your vocal cords. Acronyms usually represent an action, or phrase, to help people in chatrooms see what you really mean, like with smilies.
