| So you wanna know who The Rock defeated for each of his titles and when he won them? Well you've come to the right place coz that is exactly what I am gonna tell you! On the 13th February 1997, when The Rock was Rocky Maivia and only three months into his WWF career, he defeated Hunter Hearst Helmsley for the Intercontinental Title. He was Intercontinental Champion until 21st May 1997 when he lost to Owen Hart But The Rock held the Intercontinental for the second time that year when he defeated Stone Cold Steve Austin for it on 13th December 1997 and kept it until August 1998 when he lost to Triple H. The Rock finally became WWF Champion on 15th November 1998 when he defeated Mick Foley for it and was WWF Champion until 29th December when he lost to Mick Foley The Rock defeated Mick Foley again for the WWF Title on 24th January making him a two time WWF Champion. He was the WWF Champion until 31st January when he lost to Mick Foley once again. The Rock defeated Mick Foley for the third time for the WWF Title on 15th February 1999. He was WWF Champion until 28th March 1999 when he lost to Stone Cold Steve Austin. The Rock's first taste of Tag Team Gold was with Mick Foley. They were known as The Rock and Sock Connection and they became three time WWF Tag Team Champions. Their first reign began on 30th August when they defeated The Undertaker and The Big Show. They lost the tag titles on 7th August to The Undertaker and The Big Show. The Rock and Sock Connection defeated The Undertaker and The Big Show for the second time for the WWF Tag Team Titles on 20th September 1999 but they lost them the next day to The New Age Outlaws on 21st September 1999. The Rock and Sock Connection's final tag team title reign was on 12th October 1999 when they defeated The New Age Outlaws. They then lost them on 18th October to Hardcore Holly and Crash Holly. The Rock became the WWF Champion for the fourth time on 30th April when he defeated Triple H. The Rock lost on 21st May 2000 to Triple H. On the 25th June 2000, The Rock became a five time WWF Champion when he defeated Vince McMahon. The Rock lost the WWF Title on 27 October 2000 to Kurt Angle. The Rock once again became one half of the WWF Tag Team Champions but this time with The Undertaker when they defeated Edge and Christian on 18th December. They then lost to Edge and Christian on 21st December 2000. The Rock became a six time WWF Champion on 25th February 2001 when he defeated Kurt Angle. The Rock lost the WWF Title on 1st April 2001 to Stone Cold Steve Austin. The Rock became the WCW Champion on 19th August 2001 when he defeated Booker T and lost it to Chris Jericho on 21st October 2001. The Rock became a five time WWF Tag Team Champion on 22nd October when him and Chris Jericho defeated The Dudley Boyz. The Rock and Chris Jericho lost the WWF Tag Team Titles on 1st November to Booker T and Test. The Rock became WCW Champion for a second time on 5th November when he defeated Chris Jericho. |
