 Full Name: Dwayne Douglas Johnson Date of Birth: 2nd May 1972 Height: 6'5" Weight: 275 pounds Hometown: Miami, Florida Highschool Attended: The Rock went to Freedom High School in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania where he majored in football and track University Attended: The Rock went to the University of Miami and was a national champion in football in 1991. He also got a degree in Exercise Physiology and Criminology. WWF Career Highlights: The Rock is a 6 time WWF Champion, a 2 time WWF Intercontinental Champion, a 5 time WWF Tag Team Champion, the 2001 Royal Rumble Winner and a 2 time WCW Champion. Finishing Moves: The Rock Bottom and The People's Elbow The Rock is a third generation wrestler in the World Wrestling Federation, his grandfather was the great high-chief Peter Maivia and his father was the unforgettable Rocky Johnson. The Rock was a great football player when he was in High School and was even given a full football scholarship at the University of Miami where he had a lot of success. But in early 1995, The Rock ruptured 2 disks in his back which in the end cost him the chance of playing in the NFL. Eventually The Rock decided that he had enough of Football and went home to train with his father to be a wrestler. After all the training with his father, The Rock eventually got a tryout with the WWF and had his first dark match against the Brooklyn Brawler in Texas. The WWF were impressed with The Rock but they wanted to improve his wrestling skills so they sent him to a small federation called the USWA in Memphis, Tennessee. Five months later The Rock had his first real match against Owen Hart and he impressed the WWF so much that he signed a contract with them. At this point The Rock was calling himself Flex Kavana but the WWF suggested he called himself Rocky Maivia which The Rock eventually called himself. At Survivor Series 1998, The Rock won the WWF Intercontinental Title under controversial circumstances and ended up joining The Corporation. The Rock has accomplished so much in the WWF including capturing the WWF Title 6 times, and he is only 29 years of age so there is still more things that he is capable of accomplishing! |
