| Front cover Theres always a fab celeb on the front cover whether its jessica Alba or Harry Potters Emma Watson! The front page is exicitng and well presented. It includes what the main features are and gives a glimpse of styles and trends featured in the mag. You can always tell what the biggest topics in the mag are because they use bold captions. The price, date and other details are included in small print. Price Sugar is normally £2.30 Free Gift Theres nearly always a free gift with sugar but somtimes some of the free gifts you have to send of for and pay postage and packaging. Somtimes theres more than one free gift. They often include things like a handbag or make up! Also each week includes a lad mag. Real stories The real stories are sometimes a bit depressing and sometimes things which aren't likely to happen. Personally they aren't my favourite part in the magazine. Adverts There are a fare few adverts but most of the time there advertising really cool make-up, perfume or a TV show. Theres not too much adverts but just the right amount. Make up tips There have a range of make up articles and information. They include make overs, best buys DIY face packs etc. Sugar is more fashion based where as other magazines such as bliss include more make up articles. Fashion spreads This is the best part of the mag in my opinion and the most in deth topic of the mag. They produce best buys for your body shape, bargins, shoppin list which has slurge, spend, save and steal! Agony Aunt Very informatative for teens, the problem pages are catogoryed into body, love and sex as well as life. Although these pages are a little young for me now, they are sometimes interesting to read. Reviews Doesn't have a wide selection of reviews but does include whats hot and whats not this month. |
Front cover Bliss magazine is slightly smaller than other magzines, around A5. It is compact so it fits into your hand bag and doesn't take up loads of room. The title is bouncy and bold and changes colour each issue to coordinate with the background. Bliss normally gets really great celebs on the cover and then includes a page spread interview. Price at 2.20 its ever so cheaper than sugar but it also has smaller pages so adds up around the same price. Free Gift You can always count on bliss mag for there free gifts whether its posters, eyeshadows, make up bags etc, they have a free gift nearly everry issue. Real stories The real life stories are very similar to other teen mags. Adverts Lots of times bliss advertises films and tv programs, but also includes hair and make up advertisments Make up tips bliss is one of the best make up inspired mag for teens. They experiment with make up and show you how to use it. They have lots of pages partically for people who like to browse different types of make up. Fashion spreads Bliss has fantastic fashion spreads, always aware of the trends as well as clothes suited for whatever body type. Pages on fashion are themed with different colours, patterns or trends. Agony Aunt Bliss call there agony autn pages the gurus, including this page they also have many articles of teen isues which could be counted as agony aunt. I like the presentation of the gurus page, it have bright and eye-cathing text and good composition of text and banners. Reviews Bliss call there reviews pages, the guide, which includes music, movies, games and TV to beat bordom. |

| Front cover I really like the cosmo girl text because its really vibrant. The word cosmo has been written out like cosmopoliton and girl has been sketching with a sort of crayon on Photoshop. Lots of different fonts have been used and some text has been put into boxes with rounded cornors. Like Sugar and Bliss, the colour scheme of the front colour changes to a different mood each issue, this makes reading the magazine more exicting. Price Like Bliss Cosmo Girl has been priced at 2.20. Which is ten pence cheaper than Sugar. Cosmo girl is thinner but has slightly bigger pages than bliss. Free Gift You can always count of cosmo girl to offer a free gift, whether its a free mag, lip gloss or a hair bobble. Real stories The mag has real life stories very similar to many other teen magazines Adverts Has lots of skin care and hair care adverts. Make up tips each issue has a cheats guide to different aspects of make up and beauty, whether its eye brows, lips or cheeks! Fashion spreads Lots of fashion and photographers are very creative with photos of the fashion spreads. Agony Aunt Lots of advice pages and articles of teen problems! Reviews Cosmo mainly review make up and hair products but also include film reviews, tv goss, websites and music. |
Front cover Has always got a new celebrity hair do on. The mag that I bought has Paris Hilten with a sort of quiff. Price Slightly more expensive at 2.99 but with hair and beauty tips you can read this sort of mag over and over and look just for the hair styles. Free Gift I have never known this mag to have a free gift. Real stories Somtimes this magazine includes hair diasters or stories but apart from that, no! Adverts This mag is full of adverts of hairdressing salons, in the back there are lots of scam type adverts that really don't interest anyone. Make up tips Yes this magazine is mainly covering hair styles but also make up tips is also included star buys by stars. Fashion spreads Although some of the celebs and models are modelling clothes the magazine is basically only about make up and hair. Agony Aunt hair diasters etc are included and hair advice. Reviews lots and lots of reviews of hair and make up products |
