...the fool on the hill sees the sun going down, and the eyes in his head sees the world spinning 'round...
"I am the Speculation Mojo! I have incredible insight into the future and I'll relay all I know to you, my friend. However, please do take everything I say with a grain of salt, fore I do have a habit of belching up flaming terds once and a while."

A "Half Blood Prince" CLUE?
This is an actual piece of book 6 from J.K. Rowling herself. Who does it describe? Well, we'll find out in time or just speculate till we speculate our brains out. Anyway, here it is:
"He looked rather like an old lion. There were streaks of grey in his mane of tawny hair and his busy eyebrows; he had keen yellowish eyes behind a pair of wire-rimmed spectacles and a certain rangy, loping grace even though he walked with a slight limp."
Click here to find out more about this mystery man.

This man described here is Scrimgeour, the head minister of magic.

Aberforth-
*)This has been proven as true!
Did Harry see Aberforth at the Hog's Head? He saw a man who had a beard and reminded him of someone... He couldn't put his finger on it though, too bad.

Dobby's Socks-
Something about Dobby's socks may be important in the next two books. Could Crouch's comment at the yule ball, "nice socks", be a foreshadowing to them. Could he have seen in any powerful magic in the socks? Dobby is very powerful, and he DID knit them himself. Could Dobby have added any magical properties to them?

Unidentified Spouses-
J.K.R. has said in an interview on BBC, that some of the Hogwartz Professors have spouces. She has also said they are keys to the plot!

Mrs. Weasley's Sweaters-
Mrs. Weasley may add magical properties to her sweaters in future books! They have to be good for something!

Other House Common Rooms-
We may get to see the other house common rooms. (JKR has stated in interviews that we might!)

Wooly Dressing Gowns-
In the fourth book at the dark mark scene a ministry witch in the dark has a wooly dressing gown. Dumbledore is also known to wear wooly dressing gowns. Is this just a coincidence?

Remus J. Lupin or James Potter?-
This is a highly controversal one so I'm going to take it directly from the "Ultimate Unofficial Guide to the Mysteries of Harry Potter (Analysis of Books 1-4)". Great book, by the way, read it!
disclaimer: This is entirely the Wizarding World Press' material, I didn't write it, but a very intelligent woman in Britain did. Thanks again Wizarding World Press.

Prongs lives! WWP believes that ALL FOUR MAP-MAKERS DID appear (in some form) on the Hogwarts grounds that night in Chapter 21 of book 3! We are convinced Harry's father WAS there, too!

What probably happened to James and Remus:
Thinking that they had doubts about the reliability of Black (their Secret Keeper for the Fidelius Charm), James and Lupin must have taken ONE EXTRA precaution. Using a Switching Spell, they managed to switch identities. This was done without the knowledge of ANYONE else (with the possible exception of Lily, who might have done it). We doubt that even Dumbledore (who never knew they were Animagi) had been told.

After the switch, Lupin (looking like James) stayed at their house, while James (looking like Lupin) left.

Voldemort attacked and Lupin (looking like James) was killed. Having no body to switch back to, James was now stuck in the body of werewolf Remus Lupin.

With everyone thinking he is Lupin, James is (at least for the moment) safe from Voldemort, who is convinced he is dead. Even though James has to live the painful life of a werewolf, at least he is not being hunted by Voldemort or his followers. Therefore, Sirius (who he now knows is innocent of betraying him) may be the only one he will trust with the information.

The reason James and Lupin had to go to that extreme is, of course, still unknown and is at the heart of this entire septology mystery. We have been told that, for some reason, Voldemort wants to annihilate all of the Potters. There is something important about keeping James and Harry alive.

Now we understand why J.K.R. gave us those hints. Thinking about this makes the mystery excruciating! The suspense is worst than ever!

The Hints:
In the legend of Romulus and Remus, Remus was killed by his brother (or his brother's followers).

Remus Lupin is probably dead. The Remus J. Lupin we know is probably James Potter switched into Lupin's Body with a Switching Spell. (Was that Lily's work?)

J.K.R. is dropping hints all over the place about the Lupin septology mystery. She has made it clear there is something very special about Lupin. When asked who her favorite characters are, J.K.R. always specifically mentions that she loves Lupin. In interviews, such as with the BBC, she says it was Lupin who made Book 3 so important for her to write.

The Book 1 evidence is:
1)How did Dumbledore get James' Invisibility Cloak, and how did Hagrid get the key to the Potters' vault?

The Book 3 evidence is:
1)UNlike everyone else, Lupin never stared at Harry's scar or mentioned his eyes or resemblance to James. (Ch 5) Lupin Simply addresses Harry by name as if he was already very familiar with him.

2)Lupin seems to be able to read Harry's mind. (Ch 8) We have found that character's appear to do that when they have "inside" information, or a close relationship with each-other. [insight- He was actually probably just using Occulemsy[I don't think I spelled that right]

3)Harry tells Lupin that when a Dementor gets near him, he hears his mum being murdered by Voldemort. On hearing this, Lupin had made "a sudden motion with his arm, as though to grip Harry's shoulder, but thought better of it." (Ch 10) Lupin may be relating to Harry's emotions or his own, but he is trying to distance himself from Harry. There is no reason why he should stop himself from gripping Harry's arm if he were Lupin. Something is affecting him, too.

4)Trelawney said that Lupin "positively fled when I offered to crystal gaze for him-"(Ch 11) He's obviously afraid of exposing something. We might have thought he was just afraid that she might discover he's a werewolf; however, we learned the staff already knew of that.

5)When Harry tells Lupin he is hearing his mum's voice louder, Lupin looks "paler than usual." Harry then tells Lupin how he hears his dad's voice for the first time trying to hold off Voldemort so his mother could escape. "You heard James?" said Lupin in a strange voice."
Hearing about Lily didn't make him sad; it made him "pale". Why would Lupin react oddly to Harry hearing James? Because of the odd circumstances - he realized it wasn't James saying it.

*)Professor Lupin, who was "both shaken and pleased," comes over to congratulate Harry on his spectacular Patronus. (Ch 13) Lupin was "shaken" from seeing what we later learn is James' own Patranus.

*)Professor Lupin enters the room in a "shower of sparks." (Ch 17) A true Gryffindor...

*)"I certainly don't want Harry dead..." "An odd shiver passed over his face." (Ch 17) That's not just a teacher or friend saying that.

*)Lupin: "now that we could all transform." (Ch 18) Why wouldn't he say, "Now that THEY could all transform"?

*)Lupin's first name is Remus - the legendary wolf-child who was murdered by his brother or his brother's followers. (Such as Pettigrew?)

Harry's father, James, is now stuck inside the body of one of his closest (but dead) friends. He has had to live like this for 12 years, hiding from Voldemort and his followers. James is now, for all intents, Remus Lupin (complete with the werewolf transformations).

He is unable to reveal his identity (especially now that Voldemort has been seen again), and is paranoid that his own emotions will make him weak and he will let the truth slip. He so body wants to touch his son, but he doesn't dare (sob!).

By the way, don't believe the Lupin-James theory so quickly. Click here to find out why this rumor is probably fake.

Poisons-
In book 4, Harry was probably poisoned by an Acromantula. If he was, he didn't even notice it. Is this an immunity to poison? For some reason, Harry seems to be more immune to things them most. Is this a pretection from Voldemort? He was poisoned by a Basilisk, but that's an obscure beast that was thought to be extinct.

Time Travel-
JKR has refused to comment on if Harry might time travel again. Seems pretty reasuring that he will to me. I mean, if she refused.

The second part of this is if Fred and George time traveled at the Quidditch World Cup. They might haved switched when they had to collect firewood. One of the twins may have been from the future and the other from the past. That's why when Harry, Ron, and Hermione returned from collecting water, one of the twins said they had been along time.
They probably switched again in the the forest after the match. That's probably why they lost them. Poor Ginny, she was with them both times. The twins never even got paid for their troubles.

The last thing I want to mention is if the Time-Turner can go into the future. I mean, if the thing go backwards, why shouldn't be able to go forward. Harry's parents could use it to see Harry again from the past!

Severus Snape, a vampire?-
There is a ton of evidence that Snape's a vampire (or maybe part vampire). Here it is.
1)Why did Snape go to Filch, and not Madam Pomfrey when he was attacked by Fluffy? Was he hiding something?
2)He's lives in a dungeon.
3)Ron's joke about Snape "turning himself into a bat or something."
4)He's always up at night.
5)Quirrels's room smells like garlic, and he mentioned, at the Leaky Cauldron, that he was going to buy a book on Vampires. 6)Just like Snape had assigned an essay about werewolves to expose Lupin. Lupin assigned an essay on Vampires. (Sneaky Lupin...)
7)He has "sallow" skin.
8)Quirrell desribes Snape as "flitting around like an over grown bat."
9)Lupin threatens Snape in his office by mentioning the "Vampire Essay."
10)Is that why he's a potions master? He had to make potions for himself so he can be in the sunlight?
11)Some may argue a vampire would not be able to go into the daylight. I would tell them Snape is a Potions Master, maybe he has some kind of cream that he could rub on his skin to let him venture into the light. I do have evidence. Do you remember one of the many ways J.K. Rowling has described Snape? She describes him as greasy...
That's the lay-down people. That's quite a lot of evidence for Snivelly being a Vampire. It's pretty convincing.

All about the Muggles-
In an online chat with Scholastic on World Book Day, J.K.Rowling answered a few questions about the muggle world:
Q: Are the Muggle and Magical worlds ever going to be rejoined?
A: No, the breach was final, although as book six shows, the Muggles are noticing more and more odd happenings now that Voldemort's back.
Q: How are muggle parents convinced to let their kids go to Hogwarts, a strange place they never heard of before; and wouldn't they think it was a practical joke?
A: In the case of Muggle parents, special messengers are sent to explain everything to them. But don't forget that they will have noticed that there's something strange about their child for the previous ten years, so it won't come as a complete bolt from the blue.
*)So no to anyone that thinks the muggle and wizarding worlds will join.

...don't let me down...I'm in love for the first time...don't you know it's gonna' last...it's a love that last forever...i't's a love that has no past...don't let me down...

Will Dumbledore die?-
I think Voldemort will probably end up killing Dumbledore, because it always seems like in movies the old mentor dies. (like Obi-wan Kenobi in the first 'Star Wars') Plus, it seems like Dumbledore gives off hints that he's gonna die. You know what I mean?
-sam505

Good job! Dumbledore did, sadly, die.

*OK, I'm Victor and I'm from Romania. I read all your rumors and looks to me that a lot of people will die. Dumbledore will die in the 7th year because Hogwarts can't stay without a schoolmaster.
-Victor

J.K. Rowling also said book 6 would be even darker than book 5.

Who is "The Half-Blood Prince"? anyhow-
Could it be Hagrid? There is great hints to this I think for 2 reasons:
1) He is half giant/half human
2) This one's more up for debate. J.K. Rowling said that she took a part out of Chamber of Secrets and put it in book 6. Do you remember who everyone suspected of being the one who opened the chamber in book 2? It was Hagrid! It seems likely, since we learned a ton about Hagrid's past in 'Chamber', that ment J.K.R. was maybe going to continue about Hagrid's past even further!
This leads me to believe that somehow Hagrid is the heir to the thrown of the giants, maybe? If he's prince, that is.

As for the Half-Blood Prince from what I've read so far is that half bloods are more powerful then pure bloods. Is Dumbledore a half-blood? Could he be the prince?
-Patrick

The Half-Blood Prince is Severus Snape. His witch mother's last name is Prince, while, as you all ready know, his Muggle father's last name was Snape.

Who will die?-
J.K.R said that Harry's closest friend will die and a new person will join in. It may be Ron or Hermione. It may be Hermione because Cho Chang may join their team because she is a girl too.
-sanya
I don't think so...

A Weasley will die (one of the twins)?
-Parick

Snape might finally gets the DADA job-
-Patrick
true!

Ron fighting Voldemort?-
As for Ron going to Voldemort, the only way I see this is if Harry goes out with Hermione
-Patrick

Madam Bones is new Minister for Magic-
-Patrick
Madam Bones died. Poor Susan, how many family members has she lost now?
*The next DADA teacher will be an American. -unknown sender
There will be no more new DADA teachers at least for a little while

Harry will confront Snape to a duel?-
We will know why Dumbledore trusts him.
-Patrick

Why Dumbledore did not kill Voldemort?-
We know a bit about Voldemort's father, but what do we know of his mother, other then she was a witch who died giving birth to Tom aka Voldemort. What was her last name? Could it be Dumbledore? Making Voldemort his Grandson, or at least a family relation?
-Patrick

One person's theory about what will happen in book 7-
I KNOW what will happen in book seven. It will be kind of a "The Matrix" type ending, in which the hero dies but everything is hunky-dorey. Anyway, here is what I think will happen: BOTH Harry and Voldemort will die. And here is why:

Remember our prophesy? "Either will die at the hands of the other...". It leads you to believe that one will kill the other. BUT NO! I looked up the word 'either' in the dictionary, and it means "one or the other" or "each of two". Also, JK Rowliing responded to rumors about this prophesy saying that "I have worded the prophesy very carefully, and that is all I'm going to say on the matter". Thus, Both Harry and Voldemort will die in book seven.

You watch! I am RIGHT!

I'm waiting for the restraining order from JK Rowling to keep my mouth shut about it any day now! lol

Could the Chocolate Frog Cards have more of a significance?-
Bill Weasley states that Dumbledore doesn't care what the Ministry does to him as long as they don't take his chocolate frog cards away. We all took this as a joke (at least I know I did), but could this have deeper meaning? Do these cards let the people on them communicate to eachother or to other people somehow? We found out in book 5 that Dumbledore's pictures of previous headmasters played a role. Do these cards somehow play a similar role?
Dumbledore said at the end of book 5 that The Order has much more reliable ways of communicating than by floo powder. Do these chocolate frog cards have something to do with it?
