Ph/So's Stone
In chapter 7, page 122, Professor McGonagall calls the names of 4 more people after Harry says there are only 3 people left to be sorted.
In the first chapter of book 1, the weatherman says on the news that it was going to be wet that night. Wasn't raining much when Dumbledore showed up that night, was it?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Chamber of Secrets
After Harry defeats Tom Riddle, Dumbledore informs him that Lord Voldemort is the last remaining ancestor of Salazar Slytherin. THIS IS WRONG!!! It should have read that LV is the last remaining descendant of Salazar Slytherin. Did you catch that. It's kind of easy to miss if you don't read carefully.
Inconsistency is the word: In book 1, during the beginning feast, Nearly Headless Nick says to the children that he hasn't eaten in "nearly four hundred years." However, in the Chamber of Secrets, he's celebrating his "five-hundredth deathday." What, Nick, did you eat after you were dead for a hundred years?
On the 153rd page, Colin Creevey's last name is spelled "Creevy."

Prisoner of Azkaban
The Slytherins do not play Quidditch in the rain during the first game of the year because Malfoy had an injured arm. However, in previous books it clearly states a team must continue without an injured player in the next games even if he/she can not play anyway. (In book 1 the Gryffindors played the last game of the season without Harry.)
On page 199, chapter 10 of the American Hardback. In the second paragraph, a sentence reads: "Yes, but, but" Hermoine seemed to be struggling to think. Anyways, Hermione's name seems to be spelled incorrectly, the "o" before the "i".
In book 3, 0n the 244th page, when it should say Ernie Macmillan it says Ernie McMillan.
Let me ask you, can a train or an owl travel faster? Well, On page 89, Professor McGonagall says "Professor Lupin sent an owl ahead to say that you were taken ill on the train."

Goblet of Fire
On page 450 of the American edition Reeta says ". . .goblins in tow anyway?. . ." I think she means ". . .goblins in town anyway?. . ."
Actually, this is the correct term. "in tow" in this sense means "following closely behind, staying with him, not letting him get away."
Remember the whole line. "and what's [Ludo Bagman] doing with a pack of goblins in tow anyways."

I know this has been said a google times before, but here goes: Harry's parents came out of Voldemort's wand in the fricken wrong order! We all know James was murdered in a duel with the big V even before he reached Harry and his mother. However, James Potter comes out of LV's wand before Lily does, when they're coming out in reverse order. Oh well, they fixed it in newer versions at least.
In book four, it says that Moaning Myrtle haunts the S-BEND of the toilet. However, previously in the second book it said that Moaning Myrtle haunts the U-BEND of the toilet.
On page 701 of the American hardback near the center of the page, it reads "...the warmth of the feather matress." Mattress is spelled wrong. It should have 2 't's as in mattress.
Hermione has said it once, she has said a thousand times, muggle technology doesn't work in or around Hogwarts school. However, when Harry swims in the 2nd task, his watch doesn't work because it's waterlogged, implying that it worked before. Now that, my friend, is an inconsistency.
As for the watch -- I believe what Hermione keeps referring to is electronics, rather than technology as a whole. If you think about it, the wheel is technology. As long as Harry's watch wasn't digital, but an old-fashioned, gear driven, device, it should work. After all, Collin's old-fashioned, mechanical camera still works.

Actually, Colin camera was magical so apparently it could work. This is kind of silly. Me correcting a person who was correcting me.

Order of the Phoenix
I was wondering, when Mrs. Weasley asks Mad-Eye to see if a boggart is in the wardrobe, what did he see? If you remember right, Lupin, in book 3, says no one knows what a boggart looks like outside of its hiding place.
Cho is a year older than Harry, if you remember correctly, true? Well, in book 5,
Cho says "Remember our first Quidditch game, in the third year?" when Cho and Harry are walking into Hogsmead. However, if she was a year older when they played their first game against each other, Cho was in her fourth year.
The first time the D.A. meet in the Hog's Head in Hogsmead Colin and Dennis show up. Well, if you do the math (it isn't hard), Dennis should only be in his 2nd year. 3rd years and up are only allowed to go to Hogsmeade.
note: The one about the quidditch match and "in tow" were both submitted by me to Crazy4Potter. I just took them back, as it were.
