Here's the latest "411" on stuff from new and old books
Here It Is!!

1. One of the current students at Hogwarts will become a teacher some day - but not Harry, Ron or Hermione!
2. Everyone knows that the Dursley's are Harry's aunt and uncle, but most people forget how! Harry's mom, Lily, was a sister of Aunt Petunia's. She was a wizard born into a Muggle family, just like Hermoine.
3. Want to know more about Harry's family? We'll learn about Harry's grandparents in future books.
4. Rowling promised that important characters will someday die. Kids beg her not to kill Ron. Her answer, "No one's bothered about Hermoine. Everyone thinks she'll be fine."
5. Rowling named non-magical people Muggles after the English slang term "mug" which means fool. Aren't you glad you aren't a Muggle?
6. Don't ask Rowling to perform any spells for you. Harry Potter's creator doesn't believe in magic.
7. Harry Potter was born on July 31, 1980. He turned 13 before receiving his first birthday card!
8. The easiest way to see if a house is occupied by wizards is to check the lawn for gnomes. They don't live in Muggle yards!
9. The highest award any witch or wizard can receive is the Order of Merlin,First Class.
10. Argus Filch, the failed wizard who lives to catch Hogwarts students doing things they shouldn't be doing, is named after the watchman in Greek mythology who had eyes all over his body.
11. When Rowling first thought of the names of the Hogwarts Houses, she wrote them down on a "barf bag" on an airplane! Rowling says it was empty.
12. Most people don't know Nearly Headless Nick's last name, even though it's in the first book: De Mimsy-Porpington. We wouldn't say it too often either!
13. Hogwarts headmaster Albus Dumbledore is famous for, among other reasons, discovering the 12 uses of dragon's blood. One of them is oven cleaning, but the rest are secret- so far!
14.Cornelius Fudge, the bumbling head of the Ministry of Magic, has a good name. "Fudge" also means empty, foolish talk or nonsense
15.Rowling has taken names for the series from a number of different places. For example, Hedwig was a saint, Dumbledore is an old English word for bumblebee and Snape is the name of a place in England!
16. A school in McLean, Virginia has started its own Quidditch team. Could this be the start of a new worldwide sport?
17. Besides the title of the first book, a few other words were changed for American readers. In the British version, Harry and Ron wear "jumpers"- a king of dress in the U.S! Now they wear "sweaters".
18. Mattel, the company that makes Barbie and Hot Wheels, will be making Harry Potter toys. We might see dolls, games and electronic toys this fall!
19. Just like cars, there's always a newer model of broom manufactured each year. So far, we've seen the Nimbus 2000, the Nimbus 2001, Shooting Star, and the Firebolt
20. Rowling hasn't yet written the seventh and final Harry Potter book, but she's already written the last paragraph. The last word in the paragraph will be "scar." Sounds creepy.
