Welcome to www.HolisticHealthSolution.com! I am the author of this site. I am here to facilitate our search for the highest knowledge in better living through Holistic Health. Thus, the name of the site is Holistic Health Solution.

Holistic Health is the quest for balance. It is much more than a healthy body. Holstic health is the art of gaining harmony in one's life through a balanced mind, body and spirit. This site was created to assist those seeking total health in the human experience. Browse through numerous pages of natural living and find information on natural foods, nutrition, herbs, vitamins, minerals, excercise, yoga, tai chi, chakra clensing, crystal healing, Reiki energy, meditation and alternative therapies, and take the gift of health with you on your journey through life.

Human contact is as important as any therapy or nutrition program, so you can expect that we will add a chat room, a discussion board, and classifieds...and as always without charge.

We only ask that you come to our site with an open heart, take everything that helps you from our pages and our members and share your wisdom, to help someone else on their journey.

In Light and Love,
The Holistic Guru

Here we go...

The following is just a scratch on the surface of the quality information you will find within our pages:

What helps your worst cold symptoms? Ginger and honey. Just boil one cup of water add 5 to 6 small pieces of Ginger pieces or one teaspoon of ginger powder and honey to taste. Boil for 10 minutes and sip. Your body will feel hot in 10 minutes. This is a good time to sleep. Wake up feeling better.

For migranes, which herb is highly effective? FEVERFEW has helped many people people with migranes, but it has also helped others with sleep problems when used as a tea prior to bed time.

If feverfew helps with migranes, what helps with headaches?
Potassium naturally found in bananas, helps with headaches and muscle cramps. Certain tribes of American Indians have used this remedy a little differently. Apply a banana peel directly to your forhead for remarkably fast results. Remember your skin is a organ very capable of taking in nutrieants (and unfortunately pollutants) directly from the environment.

We would like to give a special thanks to our host MAXPAGES for making this site possible.

Thinning hair? This is said to really promote hair growth: Mix 2 teaspoons of cayenne pepper with 1 cup of olive oil. Massage into the area that is thinning on a daily basis. Continue treatment. You will get results in a few days. Several men who have used this treatment say it does seem to help. But when the treatment stops, so does the hair growth ("Jude's Herbal Home Remedies," by Jude C. Williams, published by Llewellyn Publications, St. Paul, Mn. 1997").

Besides Potassium, what else helps leg cramps (or any other type of cramp)? Vitamin E. Natural foods containing Vitamin E are Wheat Germ, Safflower, Wheat and Sunflower Seeds.

Oh,ohhh...Body Odor? Deoderants aren't helping? Try magnisium. Rich sources include nuts, soybeans, tofu, wheat and oats. Fruits and Veggies help to keep the insides clean as well, which could be a part of the problem.

If your skin is getting dry and itchy, consider this. Your skin is an organ. Like any organ in the body it needs chemical balance. Somtimes we aren't getting enough acidic foods in our diet like oranges, lemons, viniger. The best treatment for non-stop itchy skin is a bath with the following: 1 cup apple cider viniger, 1/2 cup aloe vera and four cap (careful, that is "CAP" not "cup") fulls of listerine (yes mouth wash). Your body must be soaked for 20 minutes. The bath water must be as warm as you can comfortably handle. This mixture will make your body feel warmer that the water, but you must allow at least 20 minutes before getting out of your tub. Your reward will be smooth refreshed skin.

If you would like to see more click here to go to the Holistic Health Remedies Page or keep reading to learn more about vitamins and their function in the food you eat.

Before starting any vitamin therapy, consult your doctor, especially if you are getting your vitamins from vitamin tablets. Always, follow guidelines on vitamin bottles. For myself, I always take less than the recommended dosage of vitamin tablets and supplement them with fresh fruits, veggies, grains, dairy, nuts and legumes. This works rather well for me.

Foods naturally have most of the vitamins and minerals we require. What we take as supplements, we must consult with professional physicians to make sure we do not disturb the natural balance of the body.

One Indian philosphy that has me most intrigued is the idea of eating each of the four categories every day: Sweet (example - fruits), Sour (example-lemon), Bitter (example -bitter melon), and Bland (example - milk). A little different than the prymid scheme we are use to, isn't it?

What is the function of Vitamin A? It helps the body maintain eye function, healthy skin, aids in keeping healthy bones and hair, and helps teeth and gums. If you suffer from night blindness this is one of the tattle tale signs. What are sources rich in Vitamin A. Try green and orange veggies. Whole milk and eggs also supply Vitamin A. If you are taking it in a vitamin tablet, make sure you follow the label on the bottle carefully. Too much Vitamin A can be toxic. It's always a good idea to consult your doctor before mixing any tablet vitamins or herbs with any drugs.

We would like to thank ECO-TRAVEL for providing free Green Adventure Postcards to our e-mail every day! Check out the one below.

Feeling sluggish? Too much caffeine, stress, alcohol sugar and tabacco can kill Vitamin B and C families. Whole grains, whole wheat, and green leafy veggies give you most of your B Vitamins. Vegitarians need to be especially careful to supplement Vitamin B 12, which is naturally found in milk, eggs, spirulina, kelp, cheese and cottage cheese. You already know that Vitamin C is rich in citric fruits. Did you know that it is also in most fruits and veggies? Vitamin C not only fights infections, did you know that it aids in preventing nose bleeds, blood vessle rupture, and brusing? If you get lots of nose bleeds try this: Once you have stopped your nose bleed, cut a lemon so that only the yellow part is gone but the white part (bioflvonoids) and the fruit part are in tact. Cut it into thirds. Take one third of it and cut it into smaller pieces. Place in a cup and pour boiling hot water (be very careful not to burn yourself) over it. Let it steep for 10 minutes. Sip very cautiously (HOT!) and slowly, until gone.

This has helped many people lessen the occurance of nose bleeds including myself. One important note about nose bleeds, they can represent a sign of a much more serious condition. If you have excessive nose bleeds, get it checked out by a physician right away.
