The New Harry Potter Movie August 23, 2000 The casting call for Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley is over! They have already been found! More on it later! July 23, 2000 The Harry Potter movie will is said to be released on November 16th, 2001. It will be called Harry Potter and Philosopher's Stone, after the first book since that is what it is about. It will be distributed by Warner Brothers. The cast will be most likely played by british actors. It is said that Rosie O' Donell will play Mrs. Weasley, Maggie Smith, a famous actress in the U.K., will play Prof. Minerva McGonagall, Robbie Coltrane will play Hagrid, and Voldemort won't be played by anyone because he will be an all-CGI character(computer animated), remember these facts about the cast are just rumors!! The director will be Chris Columbus(Bicentennail Man, Stepmom, Home Alone, Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, and Mrs. Doubtfire). After the first movie, there will also be 6 more movies following the Harry Potter series. There's a Casting Call for anyone who resembles any of the characters in the first book!!
