Though Dr. Rogers said it in 1984, his words are so relevant to what we are facing in America today. In fact, it was even read and posted in the Congressional Record by Congressman Steve King from the state of Iowa on January 14, 2009.
Dr. Rogers is quoted:
Friend, you cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. And what one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cant give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody. And when half of the people get the idea they dont have to work because the other halfs going to take care of them, and when the other half get the idea it does no good to work because somebodys going to get what I work for. That, dear friend, is about the end of any nation.
Victorious Living
1. Faith sees the invisible, believes the incredible, knows the unknowable, and receives the impossible.
2. God doesn't want you to serve Him in your poor little weak way. He wants you to serve Him in His mighty, dynamic way..

4. It is only the life that is lived with the approval of Jesus and in the authority of Jesus that will bring acclaim to Jesus.
5. We become like what we worship. True worship will make us more like God.
Growing in Grace
1. A Christian is not a pessimist. Nor a dewy-eyed optimist. He is a realist who must visualize and see the situation as it is.
2. God blesses you to make you a blessing.
3. In all spiritual things we should be natural. And in all natural things we should be spiritual.
4. On our list of activities in life: There are some things we need to eliminate, some things we need to deligate, and the rest we need to dedicate.
5. It's my business to do God's business, and it's His business to take care of my business.
Prayer
1. God should be our first thought, not our last option.
2. Pray and doubt; you'll do without. Pray and believe; you will receive.
3. Sometimes we don't feel like praying. But if there were ever a time that we need to pray, it's when we don't feel like it. We need to pray until we do feel like it.
4. We should pray as if it all depends on God and then work as if it all depends on us.
5. What God says to me is more important than what I say to Him.
Salvation
1. A man will go to hell unsaved, but he will never go to hell unloved.
2. I promise you on the authority of God's Word if you trust in Christ as your personal savior He will save you. If you can show me any time, any place, or anywhere that someone came to Jesus in sincere repentence and faith and Jesus did not save that person, I'll close this Book and never preach from it again.
3. God put a cross between you and hell. If you want to go to hell, you will have to craw over the cross of Jesus.

5. Tithing is not God's way to raise money, it's His way to grow Christians.
The Lordship of Christ
1. God doesn't want a place in your life. He demands and deserves preeminence. God's throne is not a duplex.
2. If Christ is worth anything, He's worth everything.
3. If He is not your Lord, He is not your savior.
4. If I put things between me and Christ, it is idolatry. If I put Christ between me and things, it is victory!

5. God only wants for us what we would want for ourselves if we were smart enough to want it.
The Church

5. False religion is characterized by force. True religion is characterized by faith.
Truth

3. Wisdom is the power to see and the inclination to choose the best and highest goals with the surest means of obtaining them.
4. Athiest really mean they don't want God, rather than they believe there is no God.
5. Facts are like a recipe. Truth is like the meal. You don't eat the cookbook; you eat the meal. Digest a truth, and it will change your life.
The Fruit of the Spirit
1. Happiness depends on what happens. Joy depends on the Lord.
2. Happiness is like a thermometer---it registers conditions. Joy is like a thermostat---it controls them.
3. He who angers you, controls you.
4. Joy is important in winning people to Christ. Don't go around looking like an advance agent for the undertaker.
5. Meekness is strenth under control.
Heaven
1. Works don't lead us to heaven; they follow us to heaven.

2. Attitude, more than aptitude, determines your altitude.

A Life that Counted for Jesus
Known for his evangelistic zeal and uncompromising commitment to the Word of God, Adrian Rogers was one of the greatest preachers, respected Bible teachers, and Christian leaders of our time. For over fifty years, he consistently presented the Good News of Jesus Christ with strong conviction, compassion, and integrity.
He was a devoted family man husband to his childhood sweetheart Joyce, father to four children, grandfather to nine, and great-grandfather to one. Of all his accomplishments, Dr. Rogers often said his greatest joy centered in his relationship to Jesus Christ, his wife and family, and the church he pastored. The recipient of many honors and awards, the trophy he treasured most was one presented to him by his children one Fathers Day in which he was proclaimed The Worlds Greatest Dad.
Under his pastoral leadership, Bellevue Baptist Church in Memphis, Tennessee, grew from 9,000 members in 1972 to more than 29,000 at his retirement in 2005. And Adrian Rogers was a leader in his denomination, serving three terms as president of the Southern Baptist Convention, which is the world's largest Protestant denomination of 16 million members.
Gods blessing on Dr. Rogers ministry became even more evident with the birth of Love Worth Finding Ministries in 1987. Dr. Rogers was the founder and Bible teacher of Love Worth Finding, an internationally syndicated television and radio ministry. The sun never sets on this ministry which is broadcast on radio, television, and the Internet. You can find LWF declaring the Gospel and changing lives in more than 150 countries around the world. In 2003, Dr. Rogers was honored to be inducted into the prestigious Hall of Fame by the National Religious Broadcasters.
Dr. Rogers was active in national leadership and personally consulted and prayed with five presidents of the United States. He visited and had the privilege of sharing the platform with President George W. Bush in the White House on the National Day of Prayer for America.
Dr. Rogers preached overseas crusades in Taiwan, South Korea, Israel, Russia, Romania, and in Central and South America.
Adrian Rogers' love for preaching and preachers extended to the founding of the Adrian Rogers Pastor Training Institute, a division of Love Worth Finding Ministries, offering resources and conferences, to educate, equip and encourage pastors.
In November 2005, God called Adrian Rogers home. Since that time, tributes have poured in testifying of his worldwide impact. For more information, visit www.adrianrogers.org.
