 They say true love comes once in a lifetime. I never believed it was true Until the day I met you. I looked into you eyes and found myself I saw the future and my heart began to melt. We became each other's shadow With you I was one. You made me feel alive inside That I had a purpose in this life. You give hope and comfort when I needed it most I tell you everyday that I'm in love with you. On our first anniversary you took me to a church, All alone just the two of us You professed your love to me. The candles were lit, The flower's bloom The soft music playing in the background You became my groom. Then one day it happened They told me you were gone, I called them all liars Told them they were wrong. But I found out that day You had left me There was nothing I could do. I sit all alone my heart Broken in two. Wishing on a star For you to come back for me And take me with you. They say true love comes once in a lifetime. Most people don't get the chance to find it. I found mine though it was short Only a year, It will last in my heart forever And save me from despair. Till we met again in a place Far away.
