One day he will come
And I will be waiting.
My suitcase is packed
I sit here praying.
One day he will come
To rescue me from my hell,
To show me the world that
Only he can tell.
One day he will come
And put my fears to rest.
With trustworthy, compassion
That only he can express.
One day he will come
And I will be whole
No more loneliness,
No more hunger,
He will feed my soul.
One day he will come
And I will be here.
Awaiting his chariot to take
Me to his palace far away.
One day he will come
I will be set free
To learn independence
To find my destiny.
One day he will come
To show me the way.
Until then I will
Have to sit and wait.
