Mother,
Tell me you love me,
Tell me you care,
Tell me you'll be there,
No matter when or where.
The love Mother had for her children
Was never easy to show.
She was never given an example
To follow of her own.
Yet, her children knew her love inside,
Just by looking at the
Sparkle in her eyes.
Her oldest daughter was lost
Without her and told her
Everyday how she felt about her.
Mother
Tell me you love me,
Tell me you care,
Tell me you'll be there,
No matter when or where.
As time went by the children had grown,
Where there once were two now five
Has filled the home.
Her oldest daughter started a family
Of her own and made many
Decisions she couldn't deal with
On her own.
She went to Mother everyday
To tell her how she couldn't
Live without her.
Mother,
Tell me you love me,
Tell me you care,
Tell me you'll be there,
No matter when or where.
Mother always had a smile on her face,
Her grandchildren began to fill up her days.
Then one day without a sound
The demon snuck into her room and
Looked at her as she lay,
Asleep and sound.
He took over her body like a thief in the night.
Her oldest daughter came to her side
To tell her she didn't want Mother to die.
Mother,
Tell me you love me,
Tell me you care,
Tell me you'll be there,
No matter when or where.
The day had come that she lost her fight,
The demon had won and took her one night.
Her oldest daughter wanted to die
To be with Mother that she spent
Everyday of her life,
Knowing she couldn't do that
And leave the children she bore.
She sits and cries to Mother,
Each and every night.
Mother,
Tell me you love me,
Tell me you care,
Tell me you'll be there,
No matter when or where.
