RESULTS:

After losing the title in controversial fashion Saturday night at the SkyDome in Toronto, Jeff Jarrett was out to prove that he’s the "greatest Intercontinental Champion of all time" by regaining it from Edge. The former Brood member got several near falls before being dumped out of the ring. While he was recovering, the lights went out and Gangrel attacked Edge. Gangrel apparently tried to give his former friend a blood bath, but when the lights came back on, it was Gangrel that had been left lying! Back in the ring, Edge hit the challenger with a spear, but Debra jumped on the apron and distracted the referee and Edge. Jarrett sent Edge flying into Debra, who fell off the ring. As Edge looked over to check on Debra, Gangrel jumped back up and choked him over the top rope. Jarrett hit the champion with a front Russian leg sweep and regained the title!

After the match, with Jarrett bragging about being the "greatest," an angry Stone Cold Steve Austin sprinted out, stunned Jarrett and booted him out of the ring. Austin had just been stitched up after being attacked by the Undertaker on HEAT. The Rattlesnake said that if he had stitches, the Undertaker would have to have stitches too! He promised to find the Undertaker and bust him open!

In an Acolytes Rules match, Faarooq and Bradshaw attempted to go through three men to regain the Tag Team Championship. The Acolytes proved just how tough they are as they annihilated the Boyz and Hayes. After Jeff and Matt were knocked outside the ring, Faarooq and Bradshaw hit Hayes with a tandem powerbomb and regained the titles!

The third title match of the night was up next as Mideon defended against D’Lo Brown. D’Lo followed up his patented leg drop with the ‘Lo Down and regained the European Title for the third time!

Al Snow, who hasn’t slept in weeks, defended the Hardcore Title against the Big Boss Man. After using assorted plunder in the backstage area, including scolding hot coffee, the two superstars battled to the outside of the Marine Midland Arena. As Boss Man carried Snow across the street, the Lima, Ohio, native was nearly hit by a car! They made it across the street to a parking lot barricade, and Boss Man handcuffed Snow to the fence. Boss Man ended up knocking Snow unconscious—Snow could finally get some sleep—and covering him to become the new Hardcore Champion!

Hardcore Holly was the special referee for the match between the two behemoths: Kane and The Big Show. In an amazing display of power, The Big Show military pressed the Big Red Machine and threw him over the top rope and out. The Big Show followed up later with a powerslam. But Kane kept getting up, and he took the offensive and even had The Big Show set up for a chokeslam. But Holly chop blocked Kane from behind, and it was The Big Show that got the chokeslam and the win (assisted by a rather fast count).

After the match, X-Pac attacked Hardcore Holly, knocking him flat with a spinning heel kick. But the Undertaker came out and dropped X-Pac with a chokeslam. Then, in an unusual alliance, The Big Show and Undertaker teamed up to pummel Kane! Undertaker retreated to the locker room, but when he got back there, Stone Cold Steve Austin attacked him! A furious Rattlesnake threw Undertaker literally from pillar to post and busted the Lord of Darkness open!

In the first-ever Iron Circle Match, Ken Shamrock took on Steve Blackman. Inside a circle of cars, there was only concrete and steel, and the two superstars used just those to hurt their opponent. Blackman tried to hit Shamrock with a chain and a tire iron, but the "World’s Most Dangerous Man" moved out of the way both times. Later, Shamrock grabbed the chain and choked out the "Lethal Weapon" with it. Blackman was unconscious and Shamrock was declared the winner!

In claim to the name D-Generation X was on the line as Mr. Ass and Chyna battled the Road Dogg and X-Pac. X-Pac delivered Chyna a Bronco Buster, and when Mr. Ass charged the corner toward X-Pac, the degenerate moved and Gunn went flying into the ringpost. As X-Pac and Chyna battled outside the ring, Road Dogg dropped his former tag team partner with a pumphandle slam and got the victory!

The Rock and Triple H competed in the Fully Loaded Strap Match for the right to battle the World Wrestling Federation Champion at SummerSlam. Chyna showed up midway through the match and distracted the referee after The Rock hit his Rock Bottom. As the match continued, Mr. Ass came out and clobbered The Rock with a club, but somehow the Miami native kicked out. After The Rock hit the People’s Elbow, Mr. Ass grabbed the strap and pulled the People’s Champion out of the ring. Triple H recovered and hit The Rock with the Pedigree to win the match!

Mr. McMahon took a seat with Jim Ross and Jerry "The King" Lawler for the First Blood "End of an Era" match. Undertaker got trapped in the ropes and Austin grabbed a chair, but Shane McMahon ran out to stop the Rattlesnake (Shane took a viscous chair shot for his trouble). Austin had Undertaker down again, and this time a desperate Vince McMahon tried to do whatever he could with his crutch. But Austin clobbered him as well. Back in the ring, Undertaker had a chair when X-Pac came out and delivered a spinning heel kick, knocking the chair right into the Lord of Darkness’ skull. Austin grabbed a camera from ringside and hit the Undertaker with it, and the challenger was busted open. Once the referee regained consciousness, he ended the match and awarded it to Austin! Undertaker returned the favor after the match, hitting the Rattlesnake with the camera and busting him open as well. Both men bloodied, it was anarchy at ringside as the Undertaker snapped and hit anything that was moving—including Shane McMahon. Officials finally persuaded the Phenom to head back to the locker room. Meanwhile, Austin delivered a "farewell" stunner to Mr. McMahon!
