Parent's Obligation

AAP’s argument on why their sites need to be put up is that AP sites are all gore and blood and they need to protect little kids from seeing this. Excuse me? No, there were bloody, gory, sites before AP existed! Pornographic and violence sites were existent across the web before AP came.

Before AP, there were bloody pictures on the Internet. How were these blocked? By setting up anti-violence websites? No, parents were smart. They bought filtering products. And they successfully blocked out most inappropriate material for kids, taking out pornography and violence. It's the parent's responsibility, not the owners of AP, to stop this.

Products are out there. They can and will filter out all bad things! Visionsoft Childlock, Macafee's Internet Guard Dog, Norton's 2002 Internet Security, those are all tools that can and should be used! At 30 dollars U.S., there's no reason why anyone should be without them! If we believe that Pokemon are stupid and should be killed, that’s that and that’s why the majority of AP sites post gory and bloody pictures because they think that way.

Furthermore, computers should be in "family rooms" where their activities can be monitored. Parents need to teach children what websites they should go to (like youruleschool.com and others) and where they should stay on all the time. Consequences should be gradual when these rules are broken. It isn't the owners. It's the way kids are raised now. The gradual trend of assumed responsibility is rising, and kids are being hurt in this way by being allowed to get online unmonitored and unblocked. Worst of all, parents are being burned out more by longer work hours and kids are hitting the Internet more often, resulting in a trend of more sexually-explicit activities between kids and sex addicts and other, more brutal things than AP.

Things are being down to protect this (violence and pornography). AAP is not necessary. In the U.S. House of Representatives, a bill is being introduced to create a ".kids.us" domain name to create a playground of games and fun and little kids. Parents can set up filters to screen out all domains but that “kids.us.” There’s no reason to set up AAP sites.

And that’s a fact. There is not need to set up AAP. AP is stating their opinion, weather it’s with bloody pictures or real reasons, we’re doing this and our extensive network is so large that AAP is obsolete to even conceive to think of flanking us and then shattering it.

What do you think, Anti-Pokemon, Pokemon, and Anti-Anti-Pokemon fans? Use the guestbook and/or the forum as means of flaming me or praising me.
