The "Good" Morals

The good morals. Are there in Pokemon? You may not think so from what I have written. But there are. But it?s not the question whether there are good morals or not, but whether you use them or not. That?s the question. Is the answer what is should be?

- The good morals (so I have gathered) are friendship, love, and sticking to your goals. But ask yourself: have you considered Ash to be a role model? Apply what you see in TV in real life? See the good and apply it? That?s the question. But be honest. TV is for entertainment. Usually, you don?t apply good morals to real life. Be honest. When have you decided to make up with a friend you had a fight with because you saw Ash do it with Misty?

- Friendship and love? Friendship and love include forgiveness, minimal arguments, respect (not envy/jealousy) and a true array of interests alike. Has Misty forgiven Ash for stealing her bike and wrecking it? How many times have you seen arguments break out because of the bike matter? Envy? Jealousy? Happens a lot! Think, it does. And alike interests are practically invisible. Misty loves dolls, Ash does not; they have different concepts on Pokemon; they do not get along well.

- Sticking to your goals. Another, yet easily shattered, moral. Sure, Ash achieves what he wants: getting a badge or a particular Pokemon. But with success comes failure. And with failure you do not sob and cry; you get up and re-energize. But does Ash ever fail? The wins overshadow the losses to the point where I cannot even tell if Ash loses.

- Teamwork? Hah! Not from what I?ve seen applied to real life. A Pokemon hater recently posted something on a message board that Pokemon fans don?t even use teamwork in real life. Here is the piece, with permission from the writer:

?I?m sure at least a few of you have heard of a game called "Starsiege", the sequel to Earthsiege 2. Anyway, I was playing in Muliplayer, where there are a number of servers you can choose to play in. I found a server that was completely full of Pokefans. And gues what? All of the fans were on the blue team, and I was on the purple team...the only guy ON the puprple team. basically, the fans didn't efen notice me. I told 'em I was A-P, and they all began chasing me around the battlefield. Funny thing is, the fans kept on shooting each othe while they were chasing me. While the fans were still fighting, I opened a can of whoopaz on their base. When they found out what I did, they kept on cussing at me through the Chat. So finally, I left the server and quit the game. the idea of Starsiege multiplayer is teamwork, not fighting amongst your fellow team members. And thos Pokefreaks say that Pokemon teaches teamwork! Yet more proof that Pokefans and AAP are wrong...?

Good morals? Maybe. But the important thing is to apply them to real life. And Pokemon doesn?t do that.
