The country is filled with night life on any given night especially on weekends. You can visit the famous ST. James area and there are such places as Smokey and Bunty where you are sure to meet someone who came on the same flight with you. People describe St. James as the city that never sleeps. A wide variety of restaurants also await you, as you enter ST. James.
You can also go further west along the coastline to such places as the Cruise Inn, Anchorage and The Bight.
Wednesday nites you have calypso at the Mas Camp pub. There you get a taste of the many calypsos of yesteryear and today.
For those who prefer disco dancing you have The Ambassador Hotel, which offers weekend disco from Friday nite. This is just a ten minute drive from the capital Portofspain.
A place of interest while in Trinidad is a visit to a couple of steelpan yards where you will hear a variety of songs/calypsoes.
You have bands like Renegades on Charlotte street. Phase 2 and Starlift just off the Foreshore opposite the Stadium. |
