SPELL FOR YOUTH PRESERVED Combine fresh apple juice with cider aged more than seven days. Mix in brown and sightly sour apple vinegar along with clear apple brandy. One ounce honey, one drop of wintergreen. Stir and warm. Mix well. Take it every day. To make it work say, "If I must pay the apple's price; I shall be young as well as wise; filling my days and hours pass; as green and soft as Eden's grass." SPELL OF DREAMS Set eight candles in a N, NE, E, SE, S, SW, W, NW pattern. Focus on a photo of the person you want to dream about. Think about what you want to happen in the dream. Let the candles burn out. Use black for evil, red for dreams of lust and white for good dreams. CHANT FOR SAFE TRAVELING Chant this spell over your vehicle before going on a trip: "Lady light, be our guide, where 'er we are, stand by our side. Keep us safe by will and might, keep us always in your site." A SPELL TO CALM AND CENTER ONESELF You will need a smooth, rounded stone, smaller than your fist; and some soothing taped music. Sit while holding the stone and listening to the music in a quiet room at home, or outside, if the weather is nice. Breathe deeply and rythmically. Begin inhaling through your mouth, then exhaling through your nostrils with a long, steady humming note. With each exhalation, make the note smoother and draw it out longer. Breathe your tension and anxiety into the stone. When you feel calm and centered, put the stone on the ground, open the circle and walk away. The stone will dissipate the tension into the Earth, to be transmutted; if you wish, you can retrieve the stone in a day or two for later use. MOVING WATER SPELL Take some rose petals to a moving water source. Rivers that move away carry energy outward, searching for a response. Those moving toward oneself, draw love inward. If no river is available, then turn on a garden hose and point it away from you to make your miniature river. When you find the appropriate spot in the river (or your hose), toss the petals in the water and say: "As this rose moves out to sea, so true love will come to me." Visualize your ideal mate while repeating the chant. The water takes the wish to its target. NEW BROOM RITUAL The new broom ritual is a chance to start afresh, a new beginning. On New Year's Eve, sweep the house with your old broom. Sweep each room, clearing it of any negative energies or memories that have accumulated there during the past year. All disharmony and negativity is swept over the threshold to be blown to the far corners of the earth. Then the old broom is left outside by the door to discourage negative energies from returning. The new broom is then blessed with hopes and wishes for the new year (read below). Then the new broom is used to sweep in the positive energies, hopes and dreams for the new year. Sweep out disharmony, sweep in happiness." THE SUN & GLASS SPELL This spell is intended to clear up a problem that is troubling you. Make a drawing of your problem or negative influence on a piece of paper. On a bright, sunny day, take the paper and a magnifying glass outside. Lay the paper on a heat-proof surface and hold the magnifying glass so that the power of the sun is concentrated on the center of the paper. As the paper begins to burn, say: "Through glass the Sun's bright rays of light Put ill and misfortune to flight. No more shall you harm me and mine; Begone! I charge you in this sign." Choose the more comfortable of the two chairs, and sit down in it. Calm yourself. Begin to visualize your pain in the other chair. Visualize it in vivid, excruciating detail, spend some time on this--at least 10-15 minutes. When you have finished with your visualization, it is ok to get up.. You should begin to feel your pain dissipate. After 2 or 3 hours, it is ok to move the chairs, your pain should be completely gone. Place all the stars in a bag or box with a little sage, thyme, or rosemary. Each day for a week place the star on top of your monitor or computer that is the right color for that day. (See above.) If after a week your computer still has problems, you can continue the spell for another week or two. In desperate situations, pick up the phone book and call in your local computer wizard BREAK A BAD HABIT" During the waning time of the moon, light a black candle. On a piece of parchment paper, write down the habit you wish to be rid of. Meditate on the paper until you are in a completely relaxed state. Then burn the paper in the candle, and say: "I rid me of thee; May you never return! So mote it be." Then visualize your new self, without the habit. Do this for a week before the New Moon.

Making hand dipped candles You need to obtain the following supplies 2-4 pounds of Paraffin Wax(the kind used in canning) or beeswax (which is usually expensive). Candle wick (available at most hobby and craft stores, oils and herbs (for scent and magickal goals) Candle dye (also expensive) or crayons (for color) wax paper a wooden spoon a double broiler. LET'S GET STARTED..... Begin by melting the wax in a double broiler. If you don't have one, you can use a large pot filled half full of water and a large coffee tin with the wax in it, sitting inside the pot. Heat the water to boiling first and cut up your wax so it will melt quickly. Once the water is boiling, turn the heat down and place the tin of wax inside of it Keep the water hot enough to keep the wax melted but not so hot that the paraffin catches fire (which it has been known to do over high heat). THEN.... While the wax to melting, stir with a wooden spoon (never use metal) & make sure it all is completely melted. Also, while the wax is melting, mix the herbs (if more than one) in a small bowl. After the wax is completely melted and been checked, break the crayons up and put them into the wax. Keep stirring until all of the crayons have melted and the color is even and smooth, with no streaks. Keep in mind that the candle will be a shade or so lighter when dry. The more crayons - the deeper and richer the color, so experiment and most of all have fun with it. NEXT........ add the herbs to the wax. Empower with your energy and magickal intention while mixing the wax. Stir with the wooden spoon until it is thoroughly mixed. Next add 10-20 drops of essential oil (please, no synthetics when making candles for magickal or ritual use - they can smell like burning hair --- very very badly -use the real stuff ) Add to the wax until it smells strongly of the fragrance intended. Now your wax is ready! NOW COMES THE DIPPING! Start with a long piece of wick - twice the size of your desired candle length plus 3 inches (you will be making 2 candles at once). Bend the wick in the middle and hold it by the bend. Dip the wick into the wax and then lift back out. Getting started is the hardest because the wick will float on top of the wax until it has enough wax on it to weigh it down. Allow it to get completely cold between dippings when you first start. After your candle has started to take shape can speed up the process a little. I keep a pan of cool water nearby and dip the candles in the water after each dipping in the wax. While this speeds up the process a little, candle making is a slow process but very well worth the time and energy you put into it. Keep dipping the candles and allowing them to cool & then dip again. When you have achieved the proper size, hang them to dry until the wax has set but the candles aren't too hard. Then roll them on the wax paper to smooth out the shape. Once the candle shape is too you’r liking, dip 1 or 2 more times to make sure your candle is smooth. Trim off any excess wax to make a bottom with a sharp knife. Cut the wick and hang your candles to dry. You are done! SIMPLE PROTECTION SPELL To complete the spell you will need )O(: 5 Candles of any colour Chalk (or crayon and large paper) salt Draw a large pentagram w/ the markable souce you have chosen. Make sure that none of the sides are really out of sale. All points must be aorund the same size or it wont work. I know it is almost impossible to create a perfect one from sratch. Sit inside the pentagram with the candles on the 5 points and repeat this incantation as many times that you want, untill you feel that you are protected enough: "While the force is not in visioned, protection and pureness is with me, with me are the elements, those to important to be named, But in the name of the Goddess, all evil shall be defeated."
