| I have found that prayer is usually not discussed in Wiccan writings. However it is a very important part of Wicca and so I feel I should say something about it. Prayer is the process of attuning and communicating with the God and Goddess. It is a very private and personal aspect of our religion. We do not pray only in times of great need. Though it can be appropriate we usually don't take the time or have the mindset to really connect with the God and Goddess. This will of course block the prayer's effectiveness. So, it is quite important to have a prayerful attitude before contacting the God and Goddess. What exactly is a prayerful attitude? Basically it is an attitude of peace and faith. Really, the best way to attune with the God and Goddess is to make sure your prayer is not only spontaneous. Pray every day. |
