| As a continuation of the previous episode, Heero Yuy is pitted against Quatre Raberba Winner in a battle for the future of the Earth. This battle is very uneven, however, as the Mercurius, piloted by Heero, is FAR weaker than the Wing Gundam Zero, piloted by the crazy Quatre. They fight on, however, with Heero pulling up a magnetic shield that Quatre destroys in mere seconds. With Heero now on the ropes with the damage that his beam cannon did to the Mercurius and Vayeate, Quatre fires yet another blast at the Mercurius that blows it backwards, crashing into the outer ring of the colony. Heero looks like a goner, with Quatre flying up to him and preparing to deliver the finishing blow. Just as Quatre pulls the trigger, however, Trowa Barton in the Vayeate fly into the fray in the path of the blast, mortally crippling the Vayeate and sending Trowa floating into the vast nothingness of space. Heero takes the moment of confusion that ensues to force Quatre in the Wing Gundam Zero back into a cargo bay of the colony, shutting the hanger door behind them. Heero attacks Quatre, the anger of Trowa's death fueling his actions. However, the sluggishness of the crippled Gundam and his own injuries hold him back in beam sword combat, and Heero eventually collapses with his Gundam. Meanwhile, back at the moon base, Lady Une finds out of Tubarov's treason, and turns the barge and space cruiser around to prepare to attack the base. As they enter the defensive perimeter surrounding the base, Lady Une and other pilots launch their mobile suits to infiltrate the complex while the barge acts as a decoy to draw out the mobile dolls. Landing in the hanger bays, Lady Une gets out of her suit and heads to the control center to free the prisoners while the other suits lay down cover fire. Lady Une makes it, and just as the prisoners are about to perish, opens their cell doors, providing the captives with much needed air. However, this comes with a price, as Tubarov betrays Lady Une yet again and kills her with a single shot to the heart. The escaped Gundam pilots commander their newly-rebuilt Gundams and take off, helping the barge to escape by destroying Mobile Doll after Mobile Doll. Meanwhile, Quatre aids Heero at the colony.... |
