Ever since Gundam Wing invaded the Toonami screens, and ever since the Japanese became entertained by the Gundam franchise for over 20 years, the fans wanted to actually see a real Gundam unit. Well, ladies and gentlemen, there is a full-sized Gundam on planet Earth, and it works!

In a Japanese magazine Famitsu, these are pictures of what appears to be a full-sized working robot which looks surprisingly like a Gundam Mobile Suit. The robot is 5 meters tall and has a chassis made out of metal and a body made out of FRP, a type of fiberglass. The red section opens up to reveal a real sit-down cockpit. Allegedly there are six hydralic servos that operate each leg. The guy who built this is named Nakamoto, 36, who claims that he's no fan of anime or Gundam, he just wanted to build a giant walking robot.
