The following are scams that should be watched for.

Bootleg Models

There has been a lot of bootleg kits being sold. We just got back from Chicago's Wizard World show (08/00) and were shocked at the amount of dealers selling these kits. We took photos of these to help people identify the good from the bad. The logo itself (below) is obvious.

Box Covers: Here are some Knock-Off model kits. Note the Chinese writing on the box art.

Cover Art Comparison: Here are the two box covers together. Notice that the Bandai logo reads as "Ben-Di" on the knock off. Also, the Gundam Wing logo in the lower left hand corner of the cover is missing the serial number on the Knock off. Finally, the upper and lower left hand corner trademark information is "blacked-out" on the Knock-Off.

Instruction Sheet: On the Instruction Sheets, you'll notice that the lettering on the Bandai logo (in the lower right hand corner) has been removed on the Knock-Off.

Serial Numbers on Box Side: The Knock-Off is missing the serial number and UPC code information.
