10. Rickenbacker 360/12
Introduced in 1964

The world's most popular twelve string electric guitar boasts all of the deluxe features of its Model 360 cousin. A standard for recording for more than thirty years, its haunting, melodic chorus has continued to benefit from evolution. The slimmed and re-contoured neck now makes model 360/12 easier to play than ever. It is also available with an extra pickup (Model 370/12).

9.Ibanez RG500

Introduced in 1987

What can you do to improve a classic?

Well, we upgraded the Wizard neck by adding a reinforcement of bubbinga in the back.

The thinnest, fastest neck in the business is now one of the strongest and most reliable.

All the other features are the same as the original 1987 RG550 such as its standard Edge tremolo system and the V8-S1-V7 pickup combination.

8. Gibson Flying V

Introduced in 1958

Gibsons Flying V is the classic metal guitar and has a dark and foreboding side that will steal your soul. Trust me, once you pick up this guitar, you'll never want to put it down!.
7. Gibson Explorer

Introduced in 1960

Available in two natural finishes, Natural and Natural Burst, Gibson's Explorer salutes the now 40 year old original Gibson Explorer.

6. Gibson SG

Introduced in 1961

The new king of the "solid guitars", the SG is a direct descendant of Gibson's original solidbody guitar, the Les Paul. The Supreme features a AA figured maple top, on a mahogany back with superior Les Paul appointments including a bound ebony fingerboard, bound headstock, gold hardware, split diamond inlay, and now with humbuckers.

5.Parker fly

Introduced in 1994

The use of alternative materials has always fascinated guitar makers. But those choosing to replace the guitars wooden parts with plastic have come up against considerable market resistance. Parkers use of glass and carbon fibre reinforced resin to strenghthen lightweight tonewoods, however, allowed the mainly wood fly to become one of the most visionary guitar designs ever. Allied with Larry Fishermans mastery of acoustic transducers, the fly created a successful blend of of magnetic and acoustic like piezo sounds on the one instrument. A highly successful "Hybrid" and proof that a guitar design can move forwards. Yeah, and the bastards only 2 grand!!!! Of course, you could go for the more affordable P-38, and all the reviews it has had so far have rated it very highly, but the more expensive fly is the one everyone wants, come on, you know you'd but it if you had the money. (I know, so would I!!!!!!)

4.Fender Telecaster

Introduced 1950

The guitar that started a musical revolution. So simple, yet incredibly versatile. Since its introduction in the early '50s, professional guitarists of all musical genres have relied on the Fender Telecaster for its powerful tone and smooth playability. Today's Standard Telecaster incorporates the best of the old and new—fast action maple neck, cast/sealed machine heads, two classic single-coil pickups and combination six-saddle string-through-body bridge.

3. Gibson ES335

Introduced in 1958

The ES-335 brought hollowbody tradition and solidbody performance together in 1958, and it is still one of the all-time classic guitar designs.

2. Gibson Les Paul

Introduced in 1952

Guitar legend Les Paul and Gibson teamed up in 1952 to produce the guitar that set the standard for solidbody electrics. In the 1990s Gibson and Les Paul still enjoy the most successful endorsement agreement in the history of the guitar, and the Les Paul Standard is still the Industry Standard.

1. Fender stratocaster

Introduced in 1954

Was anybody really suprised that this piece of musical genius was going to be the best electric guitar of all time?. The Standard Stratocaster is the foundation from which all Strat® models come. Fast action maple neck, comfort-contoured body, three single-coil pickups and standard synchronized tremolo— it's where the tradition began and still carries on today.
