| GTa2 GTa2 was a completely different game to the ones previously. It was basically the same principle, Go around earning money by doing illegal things, but there were certain new features. The main one was the whole idea of gangs and respect. The solgan of the game was "Respect is Everything" which was certainly true. In each of the three areas, there were three gangs. How much each gang liked you was measured in repect, and you would gain repect by killing members of a rival gang, or completing missions for them. The more respect a gang had for you, the more missions you could do for them. Of course, there is the small matter of cause and effect, and if one gang liked you, you could be pretty sure the other ones hated you. Gangs themselves patrolled the streets in their turf with weapons, and had their own gang car. They would also have their own special base. The game also featured a lot of new weapons, and new law enforcement measures, like SWAT Teams, FBI and the Army, unlike the previous two which just had cops.
