Welcome to the Shrine to Greg Ethington! In high school, Greg was a 6'8" power forward on the Tiger Varsity Basketball team at Gilbert High School in Gilbert, AZ. Greg graduated with the Class of 1999. He accepted a scholarship to play basketball for Univerity of California at Irvine (UCI) in Irvine, CA. He played for UCI for one year as a freshman starter. He played almost every game throughout the year, and has really accomplished a lot as a player. This is a website that brags on Greg's achievements and lists all other web links related to his status, his high school tournaments, and his games at UCI. Enjoy this website dedicated to the incredibly dynamic basketball star, GREGORY ETHINGTON.

WELCOME HOME, GREG!!! Greg Ethington returned from serving in Richmond, B.C. near Vancouver. He had spent the past two years serving as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church) in the Canada Vancouver Mission. He left in April 2000 for Provo, UT to attend the Mission Training Center (MTC). He spent two months at the MTC learning the Cantonese dialect and studying the missionary discussions. He left for Vancouver in June 2000, and he soon grew to love serving as a missionary. He said that he found the Cantonese dialect hard to learn, but has managed to communicate rather well. We saw (through his letters) this young man grow so much in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He has such a strong testimony and his letters exuded his enthusiasm for the missionary work. Greg returned from Vancouver in July 2002 having fullfilled his two years of service. We are all so proud of Greg for his accomplishments. WELCOME HOME, GREG!! Keep up the great work. It's great to see you get back into play at UC-Irvine!!

Gregory Charles Ethington was born 13 Jan 1981 in Mesa, Maricopa, AZ. He is the fourth oldest of 7 children born to Jerry and Kathleen Ethington.
