To acquire the Boutique Key, which unlocks the Boutique in Uptown (where all the extra outfits are), finish the game in less than 7 hours using no more than 30 Ink Ribbons.




Defeating the final boss
When confronting the final boss,(Nemesis' final transformation) make him retreat into the corner from where he came from by your rocket launcher, and grenades, then you have to get the cannon online by PUSHING IN the three power sources, marked 1,2,3. When that is done, fire the cannon to dispose of the debris, then it will auotmatically fire again, at Nemesis. You then have the choice to finish him off yourself(this is an FMV!) or just running. I recommend you finish him with the FMV, because this unlocks more secrets in the end.


Design Chronos Gear
Combine the Gold Gear from the Clock Goddess Puzzle with the Silver Gear. The Chronos gear is used to activate clock bells. Insert it into the bell mechanism on the third floor of the Clock Tower.


Epilogues
To unlock one of eight character biographies, complete the game at Hard difficulty. (Note: Your final grade will determine which epilogue is unlocked.)

To get Jill's diary, you must collect all the files in order, semi-hard, but its worth it!


Infinite Money Trick
Use this method to get all the infinite-ammo weapons and infinite weapons pack. In the mercinary mode go to the area with the dumpster and the hop skotch paintings (the one right behind the bar.) Go up the steps and take a right. You will then go north until you get to the fork. Go through the door and you will be in the deadend alley that is boarded up by red and white boards. This can be done with all 3 mecinaries. There are three dogs here. First kill 2 dogs immediately. Then lure the remaining dog to where the boards are stacked up. Climb up onto the boards. Go to the opposite end and watch as the dog makes attempts to jump at you. Take a small step forward and press R1 right before he jumps. Your character will jump backwards and get a dodge bonus. Immediately after the character dodges, press R1 again to pick up a combo for your dodge bonus. Repeat this process to rack up tons of money and time. It takes time, but it is sure worth it.

Solve Clock Goddess Puzzle
(NOTE: there are about 3 ways to do this because it changes from time to time. This is only one method and it many not work all the time)
The object of the Clock Goddess Puzzle is to get the center clock in the Clock Tower to read twelve o’clock. Collect the Amber, Crystal and Obsidian gems from the statues and go to the three clocks on the opposite wall. Facing the clocks, place the Amber gem into the Past clock, the Obsidian into the Present clock, and the Crystal into the Future clock. If done correctly, the Present clock will open, revealing a Gold Gear, a Mercenary’s Pocketbook (next to the bodies in the corner) and M.T. rounds (in the alcove).

The Mercenaries: Operation Mad Jackal
To unlock “The Mercenaries” mini-game, complete the game at any difficulty.

The object of the mini-game is to get from the Trolley to the starting point in Uptown within a limited amount of time. Additional time is awarded for killing monsters (and rescuing) people along the way.

Easy Money
First, you will need to have an Internal B license and a pretty good car (you'll be racing against cars with up to 591hp). Go to the Special Events, and choose the Pure Sports Car Cup. Enter the third race at Trial Mountain. If you win, you'll get $10,000, but you will also get a Tuscan Speed 6, which is worth $125,000. Go to your Garage after winning, sell the car, and repeat the race. If you win you'll get the car agin! If you repeat this process you can quickly get enough money to buy almost any car. Just remember to sell the car before saving your game or trying the race again.


Easy Money...method 2
Race the Special Events mid-engine rear-wheel drive challenge. Win the Red Rock Valley race and get the Gulf Ford GT 40 and 15,000 credits. Repeat the race with the GT 40 you have just won to win the race very easily. Sell the next GT 40 to get a tidy sum of 250,000 credits!!!


Event Synthesizer
Earn the Super License to unlock the “Event Synthesizer” in GT League.


GT1 memory card trick
Do you still have the data from Grand Turismo 1 on your memory card? All the license info from GT1 works with GT2


Super License
Earn all licenses (A, B, International-A, International-B, International-C) to unlock the Super License.


Unlock Honda S2000
All you have to do to get the Honda S2000 is get all golds on the B-licence.


Unlock S-Class Cars
In Arcade Mode you pick from three classes of cars. A:Sports Cars, B:High Performance Cars and C:City Driver Cars. To access the Super sports car S Class in Simulation Mode pass all five license tests and return to arcade mode and beat every track on Difficult. After winning five or six races the S-Class category will appear.

Unlock Speed 12
To win a Speed 12 you must beat Red Rock Valley at Gran Turismo All Stars






Ridge Racer: Type 4 Codes




Bird Guide
While playing R4 on the course "Heaven & Hell" if you push left right right right very quickly on the control pad before the countdown clock says 3 a large bird will swoop down over your car and lead your way down the track for as long as you can keep up with him. This code is a bit tricky because you have to be quick and I've only been able to get it to work in Grand Prix Mode so far.

Extra Trial Mode
You get Extra Trail mode when you bet Gran Prix mode the first time. In Extra Trail mode you can get 16 of the 320 cars in the game.

Pacman Car
If you get all 320 cars, the Pacman car will appear as the 9th car in your garage!

New Sound Title
If you get all 320 cars you get a new music track called "Eat Em Up."

Team Name on Windshield
If you have already saved a Rage Racer game to your memory card, its team banners will appear on the windshields of RR Type 4 cars!

Turbo start
At the start of the race hold L2+R2 to get a turbo start.




CARS

UNLOCK THE PAC-MAN CAR: To unlock the Pac-Man car you need to get all 320 cars. All twenty cars each of the four manufactures, and get them for every racing team.

UNLOCK THE R.T.S. DETECTOR (the car that picks up Reiko): To unlock the R.T.S. Detector simply choose the R.T. Solvalo racing team and pick the Assoluto manufacture. Then simply place 3rd, then 3rd again in the first heat. Then in the second heat place 1st followed by a 2nd. Finally in the Final Grand Prix place first in all four of the last races.




BREAK DOWN OF THE SECRET CARS: Four secret cars (five if you count the pac-man) are available through out the game. My favorite racing team to pick is Micro Mouse Mappy (MMM) because their cars are tuned for easy turning, and in some cases it is faster than RTS! You also race at Helter Skelter which is the easiest of the tracks you race on to get the cars. It is best to try to get all 1st place victories in every race.

The secret car for Assoluto is a hovercraft called "Vulcano" which goes 356 kph if you chose MMM, 360khp if you chose Dig Racing Team, 358kph if you chose Pac Racing Club, or 374kph if you chose RTS.

The secret car for Lizard manufacturer is "Nightmare" which looks like a slot-car. It hits speeds of 351kph if you chose MMM, if you chose Dig Racing Team it goes 369kph, 353kph if you chose Pac Racing Club, or if you chose RTS then it can go 358kph.

The secret car for Terrazi is actually a high-speed rocket car called "Utopia." This car is awesome if you get it to play if you want to beat the time at shooting hoops, or you want to beat your friends. The car can go 392kph if you chose MMM, if you chose Dig then it can go 395kph, if you chose Pac Racing Club then it can go 399kph (the fastest car in the game), or if you chose RTS then it can go 397kph.

The last secret car is a little tiny french car called the "Ecureuil." This car has extremely sensitive steering. This car can go 312kph if you chose the MMM, it can go 301kph if you chose the Dig, 294kph if you chose the Pac Racing club, or 306kph if you chose the RTS.

MY FAVORITE CARS:
The eight cars that i have chosen for my garage is; NightMare, Utopia, Ecureuil, Vulcano, Squallo (Assoluto's top regular car), the Pac-Man car, the RTS Detector, and the Bisonte.

WHAT TO DO IF YOUR FRIEND WANTS TO USE YOUR GARAGE:
When it is your friends turn to select cars simply switch the memory card.

TRACK LAYOUTS FOR ALL THE TRACKS!!!
First of all there are no hidden tracks in the game that you can get, so don't even try to do it.

Track 1) Helter Skelter
Laps: 3
Length: 3.262 miles
Difficulty: Very Easy
This track is one that you should have no trouble getting into first place by the end of the second lap. Around the second big turn take this curve with a big powerslide, but be careful not to oversteer around this turn. Also, the next turn after that you will need to slow your car down A LOT in order to make this turn, or try to get lucky and make it in a powerslide. Finally, the very last turn is refered to as the "Duracell Turn" because it keeps going and goin.
When you are playing agianst your friends try to use Age Solo's "ECUREUIL" or Lizard's "NIGHTMARE" because they are great fast cars to run through this course.

Track 2) Wonderhill
Laps: 3
Length: 4.178 miles
Difficulty: Medium, the computer cars go much faster here
The second track is a little bit harder than the first track, but you should still snatch the lead half way through the track. When playing agianst a friend you will want to use a car with good speed and excellent steering, I recommend that you use Terrazi's "STARLIGHT" which has next-to-perfect handling.

Track 3) Edge of the Earth
Laps: 3
Length: 3.540 miles
Difficulty: Medium
This track is pretty straight, but there are a few tricky turns to worry about. The first is a horse-shoe turn that you need to powerslide through, or you could slow down a lot which I don't recomend to do. But, there is a way to easily pass the computer cars, on the last turn over turn to where you are on the median, you won't take any knid of a speed loss. When playing with a friend use a car with speed AND steering, otherwise you will find yourself all over the walls.

Track 4) Out of Blue
Laps: 3
Length: 3.477
Difficulty: Medium
This track is basically Helter Skelter, but with a different twist. The best car to use on this track is team Terrazi's "Destroyer" because it has speed along with great steering.

Track 5) Phantomile
Laps: 3
Length: 1.882 miles
Difficulty: Medium
The first track of the final GP is the shortest in the whole game, so it is VERY important that you not wipe out. This course is very easy, but i gave it a medium because the computer cars go very fast. But, on this simple of a track all cars will do well so it is really to your advantage to pick a stage 3 car because the stage 4 cars have too much speed for its own good.

Track 6) Brightest Nite
Laps: 3
Length: 3.667 miles
Difficulty: Hard
This lap is a different route for Edge of the Earth, with two jumps that are awesome, and the track is nice and wide, perfect for passing. When playing with friends try to have them all use "Utopia" or "Nightmare" because in this track the person with the best passing/combat skills is going to be the first to the finish line.

Track 7) Heaven & Hell
Laps: 3
Length: 4.305 miles
Difficulty: Extremely Hard
Ugh, I hate this course, the computer cars are fast, too fast, and the track has many curves so that you have ot go almost half-speed through out the back part of the track, while the computer cars go full speed and always seem to make it. But, I suggest that you use "Utopia" simply because with the straight aways you can go full speed.

Final Track) Shooting Hoops
Laps: 6
Length: 2.475 miles
Difficulty: Easy
KEY TECHNIQUE: NEVER EVER touch the brakes, you won't need to.
This is a great course, by far my favorite, perfect for using the fastest car in your arsenal. There are no trouble spots, and "Utopia" rules because of the pure amount of speed. Never powerslide, if you line up right the cars will take the turn by themselves.








Metal Gear Solid Codes


Briefing Camera Fun
During more than a few of the briefing "tapes", you'll see the words "camera change" and "camera free". This lets you know that you can mess with the camera for a little something to do while you're watching them. To zoom in or out, use the square and triangle buttons. To switch cameras, use the circle button. Of course, if you have been playing the game all night and are drowsy, you'll probably figure out that the X button stops and ejects the "tape" by accident.


Change Title Screen Colors
When at the the Title Screen, simply press Up, Down, Left or Right on the d-pad to cycle through the different colors in the background graphics.


Defeating Metal Gear
To knock out the radome on Rex, use your stingers, but first throw out a chaff gernade or two be fore he "wakes up". Use the stingers while rex is trying to find you (but he cant sice you used the chaff gernades.) Don't wait for the target to come back after you shoot once, just wait for the smoke to clear. Don't forget to keep throwing out chaffs. After you talk to Gray Fox, use the stingers, and dont stop. If you put the stinger launcher away, the missiles will knock you down, just keep firing the stingers into the cockpit. Use you rations sparingly. Chaffs won't do any good this time, since Liquid is controling rex manualy. Remember, if you take it out of the launcher screen, you'll get knocked over by the missiles, and most likely die. Just remember you don't need the electronic site to fire.


Defeating Psycho Mantis
Before fighting Psycho Mantis plug your controller into the controller #2 slot and press any button, the screen should turn black and have the word "HIDEO" in green in the corner. After a few seconds it will go away and you can use the 2nd player controller to fighting against Mantis.

This way he won't be able to tell where your going to go because he can only read your left brain (left controller), he can't read your right brain (right cont.).


Defeating Sniper Wolf
To defeat Sniper Wolf, you need to go all the way back to the Armory and go into the room with six mini-rooms inside of it. Go into the top-left room using your recently acquired level 5 key card. Inside is a PSG-1 and some ammo for it.

Now go back to Sniper Wolf. You should have picked up some Daizepam by now. This will allow you to aim your PSG-1 without it shaking. Go back to Sniper Wolf and shoot her with your PSG-1.

She may be hard to spot and times because she likes to hide behind things. Look for her breathe, and wait for her to come out. Equipping your thermal goggles will also help.

Defeating Sniper Wolf is tricky at first and may take a few times. Trial and error is the key. Like Solid Snake says: "Learn from your mistakes. Let it make you stronger."


Defeating the Gunner
After Meryl opens the cargo door for you in the first floor of the Tank Hangar, you should go up top and make sure you get the Mine Detector. Now go back down and through the door.

Turn on your Thermal Goggles so you can see the infrared sensors moving across the room. Make your way across the room carefully so you don't touch any of them. If you do, the doors will shut and the room will fill up with poisonous gas.

After making it through that room, you'll have to fight the Gunner. First, turn on the Mine Detector and crawl over all of the Claymore mines so you can pick them up. Then throw out a Chaff Grenade to disable the Gunner's main weapon.

With the main weapon temporarily unfunctionable, all the gunner can hit you with is the regular gun. Try to manuever yourself so that you can get behind the tank, and then throw as many grenades as you can on it.

Be sure to throw a Chaff Grenade out every time the one you previously threw out wears off. Also, there are Rations and more Grenades scattered out over the battle field. These will certainly help you make it through this fight.


Destroying the Generator
To blow up the generator, you need a Nikita. Simply fire it and then get in first-person mode to make it easier to aim the missile. First turn right, and go through the door straight ahead, then left and you'll be in the room with the generator. Now just run into it. The cameras may shoot it down, so you'll probably have to try this more than once.


MORE METAL GEAR SOLID CODES

Mantis Memory
The Mantis reacts with startlingly correct witticisms depending on the save games of other Konami games you have on your memory card. Try confronting him with a Castlevania, ISS Soccer, Suikoden or Silent Hill save game on your memory card for startling revelations.


Meryl's Undergarments
In the Women's Restroom where you meet up with Meryl prior to the Psycho Mantis confrontation, if you follow Meryl straight in and move up to the top stall within five seconds. Meryl will not have time to properly change, and spends the first part of the conversation without her combat pants on.


Nice Wolves
Method 1: When you first enter the caves, kill all the wolves. Meet up with Meryl, and kill those dogs there. Leave only the small one. Shoot Meryl with the Socom, then immediately equip a Cardboard Box. The little dog will pee on the box. Now whenever you are in the cave, equip the Box that the dog peed on and the Wolfs will leave you alone.

Method 2: Simply equip Sniper Wolf's hankerchief.


Policenauts Guest Appearance
After you defeat Ninja for the first time, and meet up with Otacon, he tells a story about Japanese Metal Gear prototypes. In the movie, seens from Konami's japanese game, Policenauts can be seen.


See Through Mantis's Eyes
When battling Psycho Mantis, hold in the Triangle (1st Person View) button. Instead of seeing through Snake's eyes, you will see through Mantis's.


Sharp Dressed Man
When you start your game for the third time on the same save, your memory card icon will be the ninja, and Snake will be wearing a tuxedo. Also the "Cyber Ninja" will be in a red costume sort of like spider-man


Shy Meryl
When walking around with Meryl, if you keep staring at her in first-person mode. Meryl starts blushing, turning embarrassed and tapping her gun to her leg. Keep looking at her, and she turns more and more red, whispering embarrassed little questions.


Silent, Deadly, and Easy Neck Snap
Sneak up, unarmed, behind a guard. When close, tap the square button really quickly ten times. This way you don't have to risk any ruckus.


Stealth Suit
To get the Stealth, wich makes you invisible to all enemies except for Wolfs and bosses, play up until you get to Ocelots Torture Rack. Submit to Ocelot by pressing SELECT. After the game is beaten, you will get the bad ending where Meryl dies and you escape with Otacon. He will give you his Stealth suit. Watch the credits, then save your game. After you save, go to the Main Menu and load your game. Look in your inventory, you will find the Stealth Suit.


Torture Tips
This tip contains a minor spoiler. You've been warned.

As you probably know, there are no continues in the torture event. If you lose, you start at your last save. So this won't be a huge loss, remember to save after beating Sniper Wolf. The torture event is coming very soon afterwards.

If you want the best ending, don't submit to the torture. It gets more difficult on the higer difficulty levels, but it never gets impossibly hard.

After getting through two tortures, you will have a chance to escape. When the guard runs to the bathroom, hide under the bed. When he says, "He's gone!" and runs to the door, hop out and snap his neck.

After you get your stuff back, get rid of the "Timer B." It's a time bomb.

In the second level, Andy's Neighborhood, you can defeat RC without the jet boots. Here is how: Every time the RC car attempts to pass you by, simply stand in front of it and wait for it to collide with you. It will stop for a short time. Keep running along and run into him at all costs. Be sure not to land in the cemnt mixture. You can repeat this process to get the Pizza Planet Coin.


Replenish Health
When your health is gone, quickly exit the level then return to it and you should be invincible.

Enter Pursuit Mode and choose a cop car. When the game starts, hold L1 and press UP to turn off your sirens. The person running will slow down. When you've caught up to him, press L1 + UP to turn your sirens back on, then pull him over.


Fly Police Helicopter
To unlock the helicopter, you must arrest 10 speeders using every police vehicle in Hot Pursuit mode.


Turbo Boost

Exercising Meryl
While crawling along the duct in the Holding Cells, you may look down to see Meryl in her cell exercising. Should you leave the duct immediately (down the ladder), and re-enter it again. Meryl adopts a series of power workout moves each consecutive time you view her. They are: A) sit- ups, B) single-arm push-ups, C) stretching, D) sit-ups in underwear, E) single-arm push-ups in underwear, F) stretching in underwear, G) sit-ups (same as A, and continuing with these from now on.)


Extra Modes
The regular game is excellent, but the built-in VR Training mode is a definate must.

At first there is only one choice, Practice. Finish all 10 stages, then you gain Time Attack, where the difficulty is heightened a little, but shouldn't be a problem besides the time limit.

Complete these 10 and you gain Gun Shooting mode, in which the difficulty is at max, and you HAVE to kill ALL the guards to progress within the time limit. You are given a Socom regular gun with supressor silencer and 5 bullets per guard. If you run out of bullets, you'll have to choke your way out.

If you can finish these 10 stages, one last stage can be chosen, Survival Mission, where you rush through all 10 stages one after another, in under 7 minutes. You start with 30 bullets and dead guards drop bullets. Good luck, if you can complete this, you are a true Metal Gear Solid Master.


Fa-Mas Tracer Trick
First you need to get the bandana. To do this, DO NOT submit to Revolver Ocelots torture. When you complete the game and start over, you will have the bandana.

Now start your second game and play up to the part where you get the level 2 keycard. Go to the Armory Basement Level 2 and get the Fa-Mas and Fa-Mas ammo.

Now on your bullet counter in the lower right hand corner of your screen, you'll see that the last three shots are colored red. Fire the Fa-Mas until you use up all of the yellow shots and reach the red ones.

These are your tracers, and they trail when you fire them damaging things that they hit as badly as your normal Fa-Mas ammo would. Now put on your bandana. Because the bandana tricks the computer into thinking that you didn't fire your last shot, you will now fire all tracers. This acts as a "guidance system" of sorts and allows you to aim the fa-mas just as acurrately as the socom.


Fast Travel
To move about through the complex faster, hide inside a cargo truck and use a C.Box. Remain perfectly still and a guard will drive the box to the area noted on the box. (There are three boxes, each to a different location.)


First Person Nikita Missile
You can go into first person mode with the nikita missles by launching the missle, then pressing triangle. However you can only do this for a certain amount of time or else it will blow up. this comes in handy when fighting Sniper Wolf, and also blowing up the electric panel source.


Frequency for Meryl
The frequency for Meryl is 140.15. This is helpful if you are renting the game and don't have the cd case.


Fun Trick
After getting the stealth suit start a new game. When you find the C4 try to sneak up behind a Genome soldier and plant it but be careful. You need to be close. With any luck you will plant a C4 pak on the Soldier's back. Get back and detonate it. Sayonara Soldier!!!


Get the Bandana
To get the Bandana, wich gives you infinite ammomo and no auto re-loads, play up until you get to Ocelots Torture Rack. If you make it out of The Rack without dying or giving up, when you beat the game, you will get the Good ending, where you save Meryl. She will give you the Bandana, and then once the credits a through, you can save your game. Save it and then load it up again. Look into your inventoy and you will see the Bandana.


Get the Camera
To get the camera, when you get a Level 6 keycard go to the first building (Tank Hanger), Then take the Elevator down to Basement 2. Go into the hall before the Room where you fought Ocelot. Then there should be a spot where you can blow a hole in the wall with C4, when you blow it up there are two rooms, The camera is in one of the rooms, and there is ammo and a ration around in there also.


Getting Sick
If you fail in Revolver's torture room and come into close contact with Sasaki (the guard patrolling outside your prison cell), you can catch the flu. This flu makes you sneeze every minute or so. You can cure this flu with medicine. This medicine is a green box with a red cross on top of it. Another way to catch a cold is as follows:

When you're being held in the cell between Ocelot's torture tests, the guard talks loudly to himself about his cold, then runs to the bathroom. This is the point that most people usually break out of the cell. If you stick around and don't use the ketchup though, you will be treated to Ocelot's hospitality yet again. Survive, and you will be in the cell, and the sick guard will get the runs again. NOW you can break out of the cell. Give Snake a little time in the snow, and he will catch a cold, and start sneezing every minute or so. the sound will probably give you away to your enemies, so ask Otacon if there is anything he can do for you.

Ghost Images
First, you need to obtain the camera either by [A] Finishing the game with the ending where Meryl dies and starting that newly created save file with the camera automatically in your inventory or ...

[B] Getting at least as far as defeating Liquid Snake in the hind helicopter sequence, then going to the room located in Base 1, floor B-2 with a Level 7 cardkey where there are two autoguns you will have to use C4 explosives to the wall below and to the right of the bottom entrance to the room where you fight Revolver Ocelot -- in one of the two rooms here, the camera is located in the top one. BTW if you run into a jammed door that you should be able to, try using a C4 explosive on it and trying to it then.

In either case, here is how you see "Ghosts". Make sure you have at least 2 blocks free on a memory card to save at least one picture Take pictures of different things and you may find a "Ghost" image of different programmers, artists, etc. superimposed on your new snapshot Ive found two by taking pictures of the ravens on the last major elevator and one by snapping a shot of the dead guy in the prison cell.

Jail Break
When you are in your jail sell after being tortured, you can get out with out the help of Otacon. The guard is very sick and has the runs. When he leaves to go to the bathroom crawl under the bed and wait for him to come back. When he sees your gone he will run to the jail cell and open it. When he first gets to the door quickly get out from under the bed and when he comes in you knock him down once, and he will be out for good. Also if you call Otacon he will give you some stuff and one thing he gives you is ketchup. When the guard leaves lay on the ground with the ketchup equiped in your items. It will look like your bleeding when he comes back he will think you are dead when he opens the door knock him down and your out.


Knockout Punch
Hit Triangle+Square 5 times to charge up then do rapid punch and in 10 punches it will kill any boss.


Mad Mei Ling
This is a code to make Mei Ling angry with you. Keep calling her over and over without saving. If you do it enough (8-10 times) she will stop talking to you and the stick her tongue out at you.


Mantis Memory
The Mantis reacts with startlingly correct witticisms depending on the save games of other Konami games you have on your memory card. Try confronting him with a Castlevania, ISS Soccer, Suikoden or Silent Hill save game on your memory card for startling revelations.


Final Fantasy VIII Codes



GF Boost
If you have a GF who has learned "Boost," this trick will work. While your GF is about to appear on the screen, hold down "Select" and you should see a hand pointing a finger on the "Square" button and a number next to it. Keep holding "Select" and rapidly hit "Square" This will raise that number which means more damage to the enemy. But make sure you stop when an X appears over the hand. If you don't, the number will start back at the beginning. Wait for the X to go away and repeat the process. The higher the number reached, the more damage caused.


GF Locations
In FF8 there are 22 Guardian Forces (and quasi-GFs) you should get.They are:


QUETZALCOTL: From Squalls computer in the classroom at the beginning of the game.

SHIVA: From Squalls computer in the classroom at the beginning of the game

IFRIT: Defeat him in the Fire Cavern outside Balamb Garden as part of the test

SIREN: Draw from the boss at the top of Dollet Satelite during the Exam

BROTHERS: Defeat them in The "Tomb of the Unkown King" outside Deling.

DIABLOS: Summon him using the Magic Lamp given to you by Cid after completing your Exam. After Summoning him you must defeat him. He is VERY difficult. Save before you fight him.

CARBUNCLE: Draw from Gargoyle/Lizard bosses in Deling during Parade.

LEVIATHAN: Draw from NORG in Balamb Garden. Make sure you draw from NORG and not the pods.

PANDEMONA: Draw from Fuujiin in Balamb Town.

CERBERUS: Fight and Defeat him in Galbadia Garden.

ALEXANDER: Draw from Edea at the end of Disc 2.

DOOMTRAIN: Get Item "Solomons Ring" from Tears Point before Lunatic Pandora is summoned. (A good time to get this Item is right before when you are supposed to meet Dr. Odine at the Launch Pad). Once getting this item "Mug" Marlboros outside the Sorceress Shrine until you have 6 Marlboro Tentacles (Marlboros are also at the Island Closest to Heaven) Then buy 60 Remedies and use Alexanders "Med Lev Up" Skill to make 6 Remedy+'s. Next you need 6 Iron Pipes. These can be "Mug"ed from the Yellow/Green Monkey enemy outside Deling. If you don't have these and you can't get back to Deling you may have to wait until after you have the Ragnarok to get them. After getting all the Items (6x Remedy+'s, 6x Iron Pipes, 6x Marlboro Tentacles and 1x Solomon Ring) use the Solomon Ring from the Item Menu and you will receive DOOMTRAIN.

BAHAMUT: Defeat him at the Galbadia Underground Research Facility. It is located in the South-West corner of the map. It is in the middle of the Ocean. To fight him you must talk to machine (Walk when the light is off) then pick the first answer for the first question, second answer for the second and the third answer (It's hidden) for the third question. You will then fight Bahamut.

CACTUAR: Fly to Cactuar Island in the South-East section of the world and run into the giant Cactus that you see going up and down. You must then defeat Giant Cactuar.

TONBERRY: Go to the Centra Ruins (After recieving Odin, see below) and fight 20 Tonberries. After defeating the 20th (or so) the King Tonberry will come. Defeat him and Tonberry will join your team.

EDEN: Draw from Ultima Weapon in Galbadia Underground research Facility. To get to Ultima you must defeat Bahamut first (see above)
The following GFs are non-drawable. You must either use Items to call them (Pheonix and Chochobo) Or they appear randomly (Odin and Gilgamesh). I'm not sure how Mumba and MiniMog are used since I don't have a pocketstation.But I believe that you use items to call them as well

CHOCOBO: Catch and name a Chocobo then use Item Gysahl Greens during Battle

PHOENIX: Use Item Phoenix Pinion during battle.

ODIN: Defeat him in Centra Ruins. Appears randomly at the beginning of battles.

GILGAMESH: Receive Odin before the end of Disc 3 and Seifer will kill him. Gilgamesh then show up to replace him.

MINIMOG: (POCKETSTATION NEEDED) Receive Minimog during "Chocobo Adventure" PocketStation Minigame.

MUMBA: (POCKETSTATION NEEDED) Defeat "Chocobo Adventure" PocketStation Minigame


Infinite Items with a Pocketstation
If you have Final Fantasy 8(US), a Pocketstation and a Memorycard, you can use the Pocketstation game Chocobo World to get Infinite Items. Just do the following:

1. Download the Chocobo World game from Final Fantasy 8 onto your Pocketstation, (Downloaded after you have caught a Chocobo.)

2. Start playing through Chocobo World, collecting as many items as you can.

3. Once you have the items you want plug the Pocketstation and the Sony Memorycard into your Playstation, go to the internal memory card manager and save Chocobo World into the Sony Memorycard (Warning: it takes 7 blocks of memory to store)

4. Start playing your Final Fantasy 8 game with the file that you have caught a chocobo with, go to the game menu and choose , get to the menu. You can then transfer the items into your FF8 game, choose the option to take Boco(the character you play Chocobo World with) home, which also lets you transfer all the items you have collected in the Pocketstation game into the Final Fantasy 8 game, and then choose the option to send Boco into the Pocketstation game again. NOW, get to the option on the Final Fantasy 8 game to see all the item you got from the Pocketstation.

5. Now comes the Infinite Item part of this cheat. Get to the Memorycard Menu again, but this time copy the Chocobo World files that are inside the Sony Memorycard back into your Pocketstation, and then do step 4 (transferring items into FF8) over and over again to, finally, get Infinite Items.

Note : you can do this to get 16 or more MiniMog abilities for all your G.F.s to use, just find MiniMog inside the Pocketstation game and then just do the transferring cheat mentioned again to do it over and over.


Quicker Attack Bar
Go to the screen with Junctions, Items, and save, But those you don't want, you want to go to the cofiguation screen(Down at bottom of Icon screen). When you get to this screen you will see some blue lines make all of them read fast. After doing so go fight a battle and the little line for your attacks will be super fast and so will your GFs lines.


Quicker Limit Breaks
When your health is low you will not always get a limit break. To ensure that you do wait for the target character's turn and hit O repeativly. This should ensure the Limit Break activation.

Shiva = Obtained from Zoon after giving him 'Tonari no Kanojo".
Ifrit = After defeating Ifrit.
Siren = 2nd floor of Dollet's pub Walk east to battle card master
Minotaur = After defeating Brothers.
Pandemonium = From the man standing in front of Balamb hotel.
Alexander = From Piet at Luna Base
Ward = From Doctor Odain in Esthar.

The Balamb Card Club Group
The card Club group is a group of people from balamb garden who play cards. you can get rare cards from some of them. This is the order you must beat them in and their location. They appear later in the game.


1)Jack-Hanging around the location board in the main hall. (he'll tell you
who he is).

2)Crab-He walks out of the car park area

3)Diamond-2 girls walking toward the location board in the main hall. (wait
for them to stop)

4)Spade-the guy next to the 2nd floor elevator.(gives you cards in the
begining of the game if you asked him).

5)Heart-Shuu in Garden control room (get carbuncle card from her).

6)King-Talk to doctor Kadowaki in the infirmary and then go to your room
and sleep.he will appear and challange you.

7)Joker- he is in the training center near the draw point & the bridges.
appears randomly. (get levitan from him)
