Man on the Moon:
Okay Andy Kaufman always wanting to be an actor--comedian
practiced acts in front of the wall. When he grew up he at first
he stunk... Then someone saw him and this someone was in a
big company. Andy got really big so hot that no one would know
whether he was telling the truth or not. Andy liked this. But when he
got cancer it was a different story, people thought that he had a
sick mind. Then when Andy tried his best he went downhill. Only 28%
voted for him to stay. Andy was trying everything he could...to cure the
cancer (which was real). Then for his best act he had Santa and people
sing Halalooyah and even a FAKE death. After he we to the Philisteines
hoping for a cure. They were just supposed to rip the sickness out of you.
But it was all some big scam. Then he died. After he came back as his
foul character Tom... (He really didn't fake his death in real life.) The
point is that even if you're dead you get one more show. Overall: A-The World is Not Enough: Starring Pierce Brosnan. A catchy, heart thrilling action (after all it is a bond movie). The average bond movie mixed with some cutting edge comedy. An in depth plot with many surprises. If I told you, I would get too involved with the details and give away the whole movie. Recommended Age: 8-Adult+ Overall: A+
Bicenntenial Man: Starring Robin Williams. Basically, it is about a robot (Williams) who wants to become human. We don't have much to say because the basic plot is not very complicated. Recommended Age: 4-8 Overall:D-
Any Given Sunday: Starring Al Pacino, Cameron Diaz. This film shows what it is like behind the NFL. The Miami Sharks (coached by Pacino) are in a slump. They lost their last three games. And when the movie starts, they lose the 1st and 2nd string QBs. They bring in the 3rd string QB, who starts off nervous. He then becomes a star QB and sells out. The team is having all sorts of problems. About 3 hours, but worth it. This movie is intended for football fans, but non football fans can enjoy it too. Extremely well done with clever camera shots. Overall: A
American Pie: A funny slapstick comedy. The main theme of this movie is a group of friends make a pact that they will all lose their virginity by graduation from high school. This is a hilarious movie!!
Recommended age group: 11-25 (any one over 25 will most likely not enjoy the slapstick comedy)
Overall:A
Go: starring Katie Holmes, Sarah Polley (a hottie no one's ever heard of) Scott Wolf, and Jay Mohr
A unique film about a supermarket cashier moving up in the drug chain. She is selling a bunch of ecstasy to under cover cops that are really trying to bust her. The best part about this movie is how it is uniquely filmed. It is taken in one ten minute scene in the beginning and then follows up on each main character's life in the next 24 hours. They all end up intertwining.
Reccommended age group: Any Teen Ager
Overall: A-
Teaching Mrs. Tingle: Starring Barry Watson and Katie Holmes. A cute movie, at times funny. A not so wealthy girl who is a straight A student (Katie Holmes) only has one thing between her and the scholarship that she desperately needs to get into college: Mrs Tingle(the hard-ass history teacher that everyone even the principal is scared of). It all starts when Katie Holmes gets a C on her report, then is caught cheating, and then that's where all of the fun starts.
Reccommended age group: 9-14
Overall: B
