THE LAMBS BOOK OF LIFE
Music and lyrics by Charles Wesley 'Sonny' Lusk'
(Copyright 1999 All Rights Reserved)
"Mom passed away June 26, 1999, on her 68th wedding anniversary and shortly thereafter visited me with this message", not realizing at the time of the dream that the words are reflected in Revelations 21:22-27.
"And I saw no temple therin: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple in it. And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light therof. And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there. And there shall in no wise enter into it anything that defileth, neither whatsoever worked abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in
THE LAMBS BOOK OF LIFE.
I saw my dear mother in a dream the other night.
It was as real as it could be and she was robed in white.
She asked how dad was doing, if the family was alright.
Then said make sure your name is in The Lambs Book of Life.
Chorus:
You'd better be ready for the judgement day,
so you can be rewarded for living the Christian way.
Do not be tempted by all the sin and strife.
Make sure your name is written in the Lambs Book of Life.
Verse 2.
Mom was blind when she lived, down here on this earth.
It always seemed to bother her, but she lived life for its mirth.
She said that now she could see and there is no night.
The gates are always open and the Lamb is the Light.
Beulah Land At Last
Words and Music by Charles Wesley 'Sonny Lusk
Inspired by II Timothy Chapter 4 and written in memory of dad, who passed away 1/15, 2000. Beulah Land was his favorite song.
Verse 1
There's a fight to be fought and a race to be won.
To receive a crown, there is much to be done.
You must in Him believe and the truth receive.
You must keep the faith and on Christ believe.
Chorus:
I have fought the fight and have finished the race.
I have my crown and see Jesus face to face.
To Christ be the glory, I am with my mate.
In Beulah Land at last, faith preserved my fate.
Verse 2
The time has come when folk do not endure.
They have found to their love, things that are not pure.
Having shunned our Lord and turned truth away.
They all will be doomed on that great judgement day.
