The following is what I believe regarding the bible and Christianity:
1. I believe the bible is the inspired Word of God.
2. I believe Jesus is the physical presence of the invisible God and
is therefore,God incarnate. John 1:1 God is a triune being as he
has made us to be also: Soul, body & spirit. Genesis 1:26
3. I believe the gospel of Christ, that is: that Jesus was born of a
virgin(Mary), lived a sinless life, suffered on the cross (in my place)
for me, died on the cross, was buried, rose again on third day, was
visible for forty days(teaching the disciples), and then ascended
into heaven where he sits on the right hand of God interceding for
the saints(Believers).
I also Believe to be saved(a Christian) you must first acknowledge your
sinfulness,realizing that all of us deserve Hell(Romans 6:23) "all have
sinned and fall short of the glory of God" Romans 3:23", put your faith
in Christ and his works Alone to save YOU from the penalty for our sinfulness.
Heaven is a free gift that comes as a result of you putting your faith/trust
in Christ's atoning works. Romans 6:23, Romans 5:16-17. That salvation is
eternal according to John 3:16, 1 John 5:11-13, 1 Peter 3:18 Salvation is
not something that can be lost or given back at anytime.John 6:40, John 10:28-29
On the other hand, if you do not believe, John 3:18, you are already condemned.
