"Anything Music" is the phrase found on Joe Lombardo's business card. This phrase defines the career of this Florida singer, songwriter and pianist, who has created music for 35 years.
Joe delivers 25 to 30 performances per month; a figure he soon hopes to double. Aside from his solo work, he is a member of Stained Glass, a Christian music group.
In addition, Joe is a music teacher who owns a recording studio in Lutz, Fla.
The musical versatility of this Chicago native extends to his recorded work. Last year marked the release of "One More Chance," a bluesy solo effort that explored the many dimensions of human relationships.
And "Mary, Joseph and Louie," a production of Stained Glass, was a musical rarity; a Christian rock opera that used various music styles (everything from rap to gospel, hard rock to jazz) to tell the story of the Nativity -- from the viewpoint of a New York cabdriver.
As a musician, Joe Lombardo is equally at home performing in a gospel choir show or in a trendy dance club, at a private wedding or public business function. The same soulful voice that sings "Why Would God Choose Me?" (a spiritual solo found on "Mary, Joseph and Louie") can also belt out "Twist and Shout" (a frequent cover song performed at club shows).
This may be due to the fact that Joe was introduced to the piano at age 16, and was trained professionally at Chicago Musical College. He plans to continue his training at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Fla., where he recently was awarded a musical scholarship.
It has more to do, however, with his intense love for writing, playing and performing music; a love he shares with his audiences.

Joe Lombardo: Music for Memories
Music is a healing force in the lives of many people. And when faced with the death of a loved one, the right song can provide comforting memories for friends and family members.
Joe Lombardo knows a lot about the healing power of music. A musician for 35 years, this Lutz, Fla., resident performs weekly with Stained Glass -- a contemporary music group. As a solo singer and pianist, he performs regularly at church services.
Now he is ready to bring his musical talents to Tampa Bay memorial homes, by providing musical atmosphere at funeral, memorial and burial services.
Flexibility and compassion are what Joe Lombardo can offer a grieving family. He can prepare a program of traditional music for a funeral or memorial service. He also can perform songs fondly loved by or associated with the departed.
And, due to his ready inventory of musical instruments, Joe can create this music at any burial setting.
Moreover, the price for these services is sure to please families of virtually any economic circumstance. Joe charges only $150 for an hour-long performance.
