| Goku Goku is the main character of DBZ. He is a peaceful, good-natured Saiyan. Yep, that's right, Saiyan. He was sent to Earth to conquer it but injured his head when he fell into a ravine, turning him into the loving protector of Earth that he is. He was adopted by "Grandpa Gohan" who Goku later named his son, Gohan, after. When his Saiyan brother, Raditz arrived on Earth, Goku learned about what he really was. He is also the first one to become a Super Saiyan in 1,000 years! Throughout Dragonball, Dragonball Z, and Dragonball GT, Goku is always the hero who is there to save the day. Gohan Gohan is Goku and Chi-Chi's first son. He is half-Saiyan and half-human. Goku named him after his "grandfather". His mother always wanted him to become a great scientist, but Gohan wanted to be like his dad, a courageous fighter. He trained harder and harder with Piccolo after the arrival of Raditz to become very strong, and proved to be a great help in many of the battles the Z Warriors fought. Gohan was the one who defeated Cell in the Cell game by being the first one to ever go Super Saiyan 2. When he grows older, Gohan adopts the alias Legendary Saiyan Man. Throughout the story you come to love this young little warrior. Piccolo Piccolo was once part of Kami. Kami wanted to get rid of the evil inside of him so he seperated the evil from himself, forming Piccolo. Goku and Piccolo were rivals all the way up to the battle with Raditz, when they joined forces. Piccolo was evil, but when he took Gohan into training for the arrival of the two other Saiyans, he began to care more and more about Gohan. His heart changed to one of stone to one of warmth. He fought by Goku and Gohan's side and is a very important character and one of the best characters in the story of Dragonball Z. Bulma Bulma is a technical genius, being the daughter of Dr. Briefs, the owner of Capsule Corporation. Her hair changes many, many time throughout the series. Without Bulma, they wouldn't have the Dragon Radar, which is a device that can detect a Dragonball's energy. She fixes things many times through the series, and is an enormous help to the others. Krillin Krillin is Goku's best friend. He is a bald monk (he does have hair for a very short time, though) and is the strongest human. Krillin's signature move is the destructo disc, an spinning saw of energy that can cut through anything. Vegeta Vegeta is the Saiyan who you just love to hate. He is first introduced into DBZ when he comes to Earth with his partner Nappa in search of the Dragonballs. There on Earth he fights who he calls Kakarot (Goku) and loses. He then goes to Planet Namek and fights there against Frieza for the Dragonballs, and with the help of Gohan, Goku, Krillin, and Dende, Frieza is defeated and Vegeta lives on, but never gets his wish for immortality. Vegeta thrives to have the power that Goku has, but he realizes that only a pure heart can have the power that Goku possesses. So, yes, he actually becomes a good guy in the story of DBZ! Frieza Frieza was once the most powerful being in the universe. It (Frieza is neither male nor female) went to Planet Namek to wish for immortality from the dragonballs. Frieza has 4 forms. Frieza Form 1, Frieza Form 2, and Frieza Form 3. Frieza's 4th form is it's real form. Frieza eventually gets killed by Super Saiyan Goku. King Cold, Frieza's father, gathered Frieza's parts floating in space and made it into Frieza-Bot. Frieza-Bot goes down to Earth, but just gets killed by Super Saiyan Future Trunks. Future Trunks Future Trunks is Vegeta and Bulma's son. He is from the future, where androids terrorize the world. He goes back in time to give Goku a heart medicine to prevent Goku from having heart problems and eventually dying. Dr. Gero Dr. Gero is a brilliant, yet mad, scientist that works for the Red Ribbon Army. He has hated Goku for his whole life, and creates androids to kill Goku. Dr. Gero's hatred for Goku continued even when he died, because his hatred was transferred into an android creating machine. Cell Cell is an android, created by Dr. Gero. He gets his power from the cells of all the Z Warriors. Although evil, he is one of the most noble characters in DBZ. He gave all the Z Warriors senzu beans so they could continue fighting. Cell has 3 stages, Cell, Ugly Cell, and Perfect Cell. He creates Cell Jr.s but they are all eventually killed by Gohan. Chibi Trunks Chibi Trunks is the present Trunks, unlike Future Trunks. He is Vegeta and Bulma's son. Chibi Trunks is best friends with Goten, and they both hand around each other a lot. Goten Goten is the second son of Goku and Chi-Chi. Goten's best friend is Trunks, and they spend all their time together. Goten showed an enormous amount of power when he was very young, by going Super Saiyan with little to no effort. Goten, being Goku's 2nd son, looks a lot like Goku, and wears a smaller version of Goku's fighting gi. Buu Buu is an evil demon created by Bibidi. The 5 gods of the universe (called Kaioshins) tried to kill Buu and didn't really succeed. When 3 of the Kaioshins died, the Dai Kaioshin used the Potara Earrings and cursed him with having a fat appearance. He is later revived from the power given from Majin Vegeta, Babidi (Bibidi's son)'s follower. Gotenks When Goten and Trunks fuse with the fusion dance, it creates Gotenks. It combines both of their personalities, and it is not a good outcome. Gotenks believes he can defeat anyone. He has a majority of useless and pathetic attacks, but some can do significant damage. Vegetto When Goku comes back to fight Buu with the Potara Earrings, he gets ready to fuse with Gohan. Gohan gets sucked into Buu, and Vegeta fuses with Goku due to the lack of someone else. The result is Vegetto. He is very strong, and does some major damage to Buu. Vegetto eventually gets back to Goku and Vegeta from Buu eating them. Broli (Ancient Super Saiyan) When Broli was born he had a surprisingly high powerlevel of 10,000. Broli was also born on the same day that Goku was born, and it is said that Goku cried for 24 hours straight, tramatizing little Broli. Broli was evil from the start, mostly because he knew that he would be able to rise above all with his high powerlevel. Once King Vegeta heard about this phenomenonal fighter, he ordered the immediate death of him, because he knew that one day the kid would be able to rise over him. Broli's father went and pleaded for both their lives, but King Vegeta wouldn't hear it and killed them both...or so he thought. Broli's high powerlevel kept his father and him alive, and when Frieza destroyed Planet Vegeta, Broli used his power to fly them to another planet where they plotted their revenge on the world! Coola Coola is Frieza's brother, and the son of King Cold. He comes down to Earth to get revenge on Goku for defeating Frieza, but Coola eventually gets blown up in the sun. Coola has has a form called Metal Coola, in which he is much stronger and has a metallic covering over his body. |
