Dragonball GT Episode 5
(Aired 3/6/96)
Tsuyoi yatsu mikke!! Youjinbou Rejjik
See, the Strong Guy!! The Bodyguard Rejjik.
The local police search the city, overlooking the trio hiding behind
the giant wanted posters. While they are waffling over their next
steps, a local female leaves her apartment, and finds them. Gokuu
states that while they are wanted criminals, they're really not bad
folks. Pan tries to do spin control, but the female screams and bolts,
alerting the police. The trio run away, leaping over buildings. Don
Kia's two minions lay an ambush, while Kiru (the little red dwarf
minion) wants the criminals alive, to exact revenge for the day before.
Pan and Trunks easily leap over the street where Kiru is waiting, but
Gokuu stumbles, falls towards Kiru, and uses the dwarf's face as a
springboard (Kiru's response -- This can't be happening.)
A few buildings later, Pan falls through a roof, and she and Trunks
land on top of Gokuu. Pan grouses about this hateful planet; Gokuu
tells her to get off him, then complains that Pan is fat. They are
interrupted by an old couple that recognizes them from the posters. The
trio realize that they can't explain their way out of this mess. They
apologize and try to leave. The old couple soften up, and state that if
the evil Don Kia is against something, that something must by rights be
ok. The woman invites them to dinner (over her husband's objections.)
The couple hear about the trio's problems, and the woman tells us
that Don Kia also arrived on this planet in a ship, along with Rejjik.
Pan wonders why the villagers don't fight back, and is told that Rejjik
is too strong for them to handle. Gokuu flashes back to last night's
fight, and remembers Rejjik's face. The woman apologizes to Gokuu that
there is not enough food for seconds. The trio realize that they've
just eaten all of the couple's food. This is the last straw for Pan,
and she decides to take on Don Kia. The old couple are concerned for
their safety, and Pan tells them to not worry because the heroes are so
strong.
Soon, the trio walks into the midst of the police. Geal (pronounced
"Gail") and Kiru dread another fight, and are stunned when the fugitives
peacefully surrender. They are handcuffed and hauled away.
In his office, Don Kia is making love to his money. He is told by
intercom that Geal has captured the three fugitives. Don Kia tells the
intercom to have them delivered to his office. Suddenly, a guard flies
through the door, and the trio burst in. Don Kia asks where Geal is;
he finds her on camera -- downstairs, with the rest of the defeated
guards.
[Commercial Break.]
Pan wants vengeance on Don Kia, but is caught in a cylindrical force
field. Don Kia's office contains a hidden arsenal, which he activates
and opens fire on Pan. But the assault is interrupted when Rejjik
arrives and says that weapons are useless on these guys. Don Kia tries
to order Rejjik to attack, but Rejjik doesn't take orders from anyone.
He just wants to know how strong the trio really is. Trunks attacks
and is easily batted aside. Gokuu confronts Rejjik while telling Trunks
to rescue Pan. Rejjik and Gokuu start fighting. There are many energy
balls, kicks, and punches. Rejjik uses a semi-magical set of swords
(which Gokuu catches and breaks) and a spear (which Gokuu evades only to
be batted to the ground.) Don Kia's palace gets demolished along the
way.
Gokuu is now getting interested in the battle, and he starts round
two by going SSJ-1 (Rejjik discloses that he recognizes Gokuu as being
Saiya-jin, but doesn't elaborate.) Gokuu shatters Rejjik's spear, and
bashes the bodyguard. They both switch to energy attacks, with Gokuu's
Kamehame-ha blowing Rejjik back into the palace.
Gokuu stops fighting, knowing that Rejjik is down for the count.
Rejjik disses the brat as being fickle, and Gokuu agrees with the fickle
part, but not at being called a child (Rejjik doesn't understand.) Pan
is now free, and she and Trunks confront Don Kia. Don Kia grabs his
money and tries to bribe Rejjik into rescuing him. Rejjik kicks the
dictator away, and tells Gokuu that Rejjik will win their next fight.
Gokuu answers back that it won't be him losing in the battle.
Don Kia apologizes, and promises to do anything they want. He balks
at being told to stop charging rent, so Gokuu is allowed to smash him
up. After much thought, Don Kia acquiesces. The next morning, the trio
arrive at the village carrying a HUGE vault containing all of Don Kia's
money, and a promise that the villagers will get their planet back.
Then, their ship is ready to launch again, and Gokuu asks Pan how
they're going to find the Balls without the Dragon Radar. Pan notices
that the robot has escaped again, and she roughs it up a bit. This
attracts Trunks' attention, and he takes pity on the almost-human robot.
Pan asks Trunks what they're going to do without the Radar. The robot
opens a panel in its back to reveal a Dragon Radar screen (confirming
what Trunks suspected the previous episode.) Now that they can study
the screen, they see that the closest Ball is within the Imeggan solar
system. Pan is initially excited at being able to continue the
adventure. But on the trip out, she and Gokuu fall asleep.

Chotto itee zo!? Gokuu no haisha
It hurts, eh!? Gokuu the dentist.
The ship reaches the next planet. Gokuu asks the robot its name, and
gets the serial number "DD4649T22006RS" back in reply. It announces
that the Dragon Ball is on the planet before them, and Pan threatens to
turn it to scrap if it is lying. Trunks brings them in for a landing,
but the ship trips on a rock outcropping and they crash down (roughed up
but safe.) Trunks apologizes -- this is the first time he's flown a
space ship. The ship keeps getting rocked -- the "island" they're on is
actually the back of a gigantic turtle. They escape a whole herd of
island-sized turtles, and Gokuu leaves the ship on his own; of course,
Pan has to do the same.
Everything on this planet is hundreds of times bigger than normal.
Gokuu rides the back of a horned beetle, and Pan dresses herself up as a
cute insect (Gokuu doesn't see it that way.) Pan is taken by the beauty
of a butterfly swarm and flies off with them. Trunks arrives, looking
for the Dragon Ball and Pan. Gokuu thinks that the two of them can find
the Ball alone. Pan finds a big flower, enjoys the sweet nectar and
comfortable "bed", until a swarm of bees swoop down and carry her off.
Trunks finds the Ball in a giant apple orchard, but Gokuu knocks a
apple out of the tree and the apple lands on the Ball. A huge bird
flies up and makes off with the apple (the Dragon Ball embedded in the
side of the apple.) A giant "human" thunders past, the bird drops the
apple in the giant's hand, the apple goes into a bag, and the bird
settles on the giant's shoulder. Before Trunks and Gokuu can give
chase, they hear Pan scream. Gokuu isn't concerned, but Trunks says
that they can locate the Ball via the Radar, so they should help Pan
first. Gokuu is bemused by this.
The bees return to their hive, and put Pan in the main chamber. Pan
complains about this, until she notices the 40+ bee eggs moving around.
The baby bees hatch, and are so cute that Pan settles down and starts to
enjoy herself.
[Commercial Break.]
Trunks finds a giant spider, and what looks like Pan wrapped up in
the spider's web. Gokuu gets webbed (he hates the taste) and Trunks
kicks the spider to the ground. But, when the webbing is torn open,
they find a human-sized queen bee inside. In the hive, worker bees
start bringing balls of honey to Pan. At first, she is confused. Then
she rebels at the thought of being "mother" to the baby bees. She
apologizes to the babies, and leaves the hive. Followed by the entire
swarm. Her attempts at evasion fail, and they all fly by the giant
"human", who is now catching a massive trout in his arms.
Pan and Gokuu nearly collide; Trunks explains what is happening. The
bees return to their hive, with their queen. Gokuu wonders how the bees
could be so stupid as to mistake Pan for a queen (ie -- pretty princess.)
Pan is surprised that the boys haven't gotten the Dragon Ball yet.
And, as Gokuu is playing with the robot, it runs out of power. Hitting
on the robot doesn't fix it. Trunks wonders where they'll find an
energy source here, and Gokuu's empty stomach prompts him into saying
that he also needs "energy". They find the giant -- with the aid of
Gokuu's nose -- cooking the fish over a fire. Gokuu is envious. Being
so small, the trio needs an arrow so that we can follow them as they
walk through the grass towards the pile of food. The arrow approaches
the giant as Gokuu tries to get to the huge cooked fish.
They reach the pile of apples, and the Ball is easily seen in the top
apple. Gokuu flies to get the Dragon Ball, but one of the giant's pets
nudges the apple and it falls to the giant's feet. The giant pops the
apple in his mouth and throws away the core. Pan imagines that the
giant will have to run to the toilet to pass out the Ball, and she
panics. Trunks tries to calm her down by saying that they can look for
the other Balls first, then they are interrupted as the giant starts
thrashing around in pain.
Gokuu flies up to ask the giant what is wrong, and he sees the Ball
jammed inside a cavity on one of the giant's molars. Gokuu flies into
the giant's mouth, and tries to keep it propped open long enough to let
Trunks in to get the Ball. The giant's teeth close down on Gokuu first,
and the boy is trapped inside the giant's mouth. (This scene is fun.)
Gokuu resorts to using Kamehame-ha, just as the giant opens his mouth
again. The entire molar is knocked into the air and Gokuu escapes.
Gokuu comments on how big the cavity is. Eventually, the giant realizes
that the pain is gone and he calms down. The trio gets their first
Dragon Ball. Gokuu returns the tooth, with an admonition to brush
more. They fly back to the ship. The giant waves good-bye to them.
The ship returns to space, and Pan comments on how pretty the Ball
is. This is the first time she's ever seen one. Pan congratulates the
robot (which is now recharging), and asks it for its help in finding the
next one. The robot replies "giro giro" as usual. Gokuu decides to
call it "Gill". Trunks and Pan agree to that.

Itoshi no Hanii!? Hanayome wa Torankusu
Beloved Honey!? The Betrothed is Trunks
Pan blows her stack and ties up Gill after it has tried to eat some
of the ship's circuit boards (she's looking very menacing with a pair of
scissors.) Gill asks Trunks for help, and Trunks wants Pan to settle down.
Gokuu, who is eating again, also takes Gill's side. When Pan claims
that Gill will eat the entire ship, it chows down on her scissors.
Then, they find a beautiful planet that Gill confirms has a Dragon Ball.
They set the ship down in a nice countryside setting, and walk until
they find a village. At first, it appears empty (Gokuu complains of
being hungry again, and Pan complains that he's cleaning out the
cupboard.) Eventually, they find all the villagers crowded around one
house. Trunks asks what's happening and is told "Zuunama".
Gill points out the fact that a woman in the house has a Dragon
Ball woven at the end of her ponytail. The trio rush into the house,
and verify that it's what they're looking for -- the #6 Ball.) Trunks
says that they came a long way from Earth to find it, but the woman's
boyfriend -- Doma -- brushes them off angrily, saying that they don't
know when Zuunama will be coming back. Gokuu and Pan ask who Zuunama
is, and Trunks suggests that the trio should talk to him when he
arrives. The villagers look confused.
While Gokuu eats, an elder explains that Zuunama is a horrible
monster that had been demanding a lot of food. This time... Gill
senses something approaching. It is a giant catfish, with the ability
to create earthquakes by going into a dance and wiggling its 2 long
whiskers. (Gill runs around in a panic until Pan trips it and tells it
to shut up.) Zuunama has come to demand... a woman as a bride. The
elder completes his sentence "his daughter is the one chosen to be the
bride." At first, Zuunama is happy, but his betrothed doesn't come out;
so Zuunama starts a big earthquake. Reenu, the elder's daughter, runs
out to demand that Zuunama take her as a bride, and stop the earthquake.
[Commercial Break.]
The villagers hold Doma back, while Zuunama accepts her, and says
it'll be back for her tomorrow. But, it wants her to look prettier than
she does now. Zuunama thunders off, singing about the roars of
earthquakes. Reenu faints. That evening, the village women prepare a
feast for Zuunama, preventing a starving Gokuu from eating anything.
Pan is incensed over the situation with Zuunama, and wants to defeat the
monster. Pan tells the villagers that Trunks is Earth's #2 strongest
fighter, and the boy hedges, commenting on his dad, Piccolo, et al being
stronger. Doma wants to join with, and Pan agrees. The elder gives his
blessing.
Pan is impressed with Reenu's wedding dress (which was intended for
her marriage to Doma), and she tries to force Gokuu to wear it. Gokuu
demands to know why. Pan answers that he's to be a decoy until Zuunama
is so drunk that it is helpless when Pan's giant scissors are used to
cut its whiskers off. Trunks wonders where the scissors came from.
Gokuu and Pan finally realize that Gokuu makes a lousy decoy. So,
Trunks is forced to sit through a make-up session (partly because the
Dragon Ball has been promised as a reward if they succeed.)
The next morning, Trunks sadly poses in costume, glad that his
parents aren't there to see him. Doma arrives, ready to head out. A
kitchen woman arrives with a container of really strong sake, that Gokuu
wants to drink (he can't because he is a kid.) Then, Zuunama arrives,
singing "here comes the bride". Trunks runs out on the second floor
balcony and trips, while Zuunama is angrily looking into the ground
floor entrance. It demands that Reenu come out NOW.
Trunks speaks out in his own voice, in woman's language. Pan gets on
his case, so he changes pitch and says that he has a cold. Zuunama is
cool with this, and tells the "girl" to come closer so it can look "her"
over better.Dragonball GT Episode 8
(Aired 4/17/96)
Gokuu mo dokkan!! Ohige pawaa zenkai
Gokuu also Thunders!! The Whiskers' Power is at Full
Trunks is forced to get closer so Zuunama can tell if "she" is
prettier than yesterday. Trunks stalls, while Pan hides behind a fake
cactus and tells the "bride" to get moving. It looks like the plan will
fail, and Gokuu wants to just cut to the combat -- Pan tells him to
wait. Turns out that Zuunama LIKES Trunks better than Reenu, and they
return to its mountain.
Zuunama comments on Trunks' beard stubble, and has to be told to stop
touching "to avoid getting sick". They jump into a pool, and swim in
under the mountain to the caves inside. The rescuers lose Trunks and
try to figure out what happened. Doma guesses that they went swimming
in the pool, and Gokuu strips down to the skin. Pan complains about
seeing Gokuu naked, and the boy says that he'd taken a bath with her
many times when she was younger. Pan claims that it was different then,
and Doma can't understand how the boy can be Pan's grandfather. (Pan
drop kicks Gill when the robot's panicking gets too distracting.) Gokuu
finds the underwater entrance.
In the cave, Trunks finds a magma pool, and wipes the sweat from
his face -- smearing his lipstick. He also loses his wig, as Zuunama is
pulling out lingerie for "her". Zuunama decides that "Torairansu" looks
even prettier than Reenu. They sit down to eat, and "Torairansu" tries
to get the monster to drink the sake as a "toast". Turns out that
Zuunama is a teetotaler. So, Trunks has to trick it into looking the
other way so he can splash the sake on some fruit. Zuunama eats them
all (stuffed into his face by the eager Torairansu.) (This is a funny
scene.) Zuunama comments on the strange taste. It quickly gets drunk
-- an angry ugly drunk. It wants more fruit, ignoring the fact that
it's eaten them all. The other heroes show up in the chamber at this
point, and are seen by Zuunama.
[Commercial Break.]
Zuunama is pissed at the interruption, and starts bashing everyone.
Gokuu eagerly looks forward to the fight, but the monster passes out.
Trunks changes out of the dress, saying it's good that Zuunama normally
doesn't drink. Doma cuts one whisker, and the kids laugh at Zuunama's
weird-looking face. It sneezes, blowing Doma away, and wakes up. It
asks why Torairansu has changes clothes -- Trunks answers and adds "I am
male". Zuunama discovers its mustache has been cut, and it starts
making a huge earthquake. Which quickly ends. Zuunama thinks that the
earthquake is still going and asks if the intruders are scared. Pan
realizes that Zuunama doesn't create earthquakes -- it only senses when
an earthquake is about to happen and takes credit for it. Doma is angry
at having been taken in for so long. Zuunama discovers that its fraud
has been uncovered and still tries to fake it. But, the lava pool below
the cavern explodes, and everyone is forced to run (Zuunama blames its
lack of control on the scissors and the sake.) They leap into the pool
with the lava close behind.
Gokuu uses an energy bolt to propel him into Zuunama, and hence
pushing all of them to the outside world, and to safety. The
mountain is threatening to go volcanic, pouring lava down on the
village. Gokuu uses Kamehame-ha to blow it out. Instead, he blows it
up. Gokuu doesn't really care.
Later, at the ship, Pan gets Reenu's Dragon Ball. Zuunama has been
accepted by the villagers as an earthquake early warning system.
Suddenly, the Ball floats up out of Pan's hand, and into the hands of
one villager. The villager's disguise disappears to reveal a blue-faced
alien. The alien flies up to his ship. The alien ship flies away into
space.
