Here is my little take on the VMAs on 9/9/99.
First off, the Backstreet Boys sucked! What was with those outfits? I'm not getting it. Are they trying to be tough here? That's so rediculous! Next, Ricky Gayton sucked! Yes, he sucked. What the hell was all that chicken dancing anyhow? Kid Rock rocked the house! That was one of the best performances I've ever seen in my twenty years. It was terrific. Major props, Kid! I was disappointed that Limp Bizkit didn't perform, but it was okay because Eminem did. I was highly pissed off that our boys didn't win anything and not only that, they lost to people who don't deserve it (except TLC. They deserved it). Why did they lose to such untalented people? Can we say, "Pay offs"? I think so. But the highlight of the evening was the performance by Britney Spears and *N SYNC of course. They all did a stand up job. I was very impressed and JC's tattoo is very sexy. Chris looked too hott for words. Even Lance was doing a good job in dancing. (My mum likes Lance) How could they NOT win anything? Who knows? All I know is I have a new found hatred for MTV. I hate MTV! It's okay, *N SYNC. You're all winners in your fans' hearts. =0) |
