MATTHEW HOPKINS WITCHFINDER GENERAL For the last two years i have been investigating Matthew Hopkins ghost in a village in north Essex,i have seen his ghost a number of times.On one visit i saw it in an old meadow,this is supposedly his final resting place,it rose out of the ground about twenty yards away it was some six minutes before it faded away again it was just a misty shape of a person,i also saw the same thing on another visit..i have also picked up on infrared video some very strange eyes(just the eyes)moving round the video very close as if inspecting it before floating silently up into the trees. The haunted site has a lake,it is said Hopkins swam a large number of his victims here,for a payment of twenty shillings a convicted witch (when the average wage was two pence a day )Hopkins was a very rich man..recently two night fishermen saw a ghost that walked through the fishing rods they were holding. they never came back again. On another visit to the site three of us stood in the meadow and heard footsteps in the grass coming towards us,we stood our ground(as all paranormal investigators would) they came right up to us and stopped,but wesaw nothing,but it is still early days into this investigation, i hope to see more of Matthew Hopkins on my next visit. THE GHOSTS AT THE WHITE HART I had a report that came in last year from a public house at Tuddenham st Mary a small village near Mildenhall Suffolk,customers were complaining about a sudden blast of cold air and something rushing past at great speed,so i got involved with an investigation.. the landlady told me that when she was busy a ghostly lady would appear behind the bar as if she was helping out. she also told me of two other ghosts in the bar..A man and his dog who sat at a table some lunchtimes they would appear and dissapear at will.. VISIT ONE. I set up my infrared video camera and cctv cameras and waited i was in the bar area when a misty figure came through the locked front door and vanished near the bar i also picked up a large orb on infrared which came from the table where the man and his dog sat which went through the closed window and outside. VISIT TWO On my second visit the landlady Kathy reported hearing footsteps and feeling a presence in one of the first floor rooms,so i set up all my equipment and waited , and waited, and nothing! VISIT THREE I set all my gear up in the restaurant,after an hour or so i felt that something was in the room with me,i could not see it but i knew it was there,when i walked towards it ,it moved away this went on for a hour or so, later it started to move close up behind me so feeling uncomfortable i moved chairs and this went on for the rest of the night. LAST VISIT I set up my gear in the restaurant again felt the presence again this time it wanted to play games so it would keep switching of the recording equipment,and also move the camcorder in another direction.Nothing much else went on during the night.. I later found out that the man with the dog commited suicide a few years ago, and that was the table he sat at every lunchtime when he was alive.As for the ghostly landlady ,i could find out nothing about her at all perhaps i never will..The pub has changed hands,and i dare not tell the new tenants they have three ghosts and can i please investigate them. . HAUNTED SUFFOLK AIRFIELDS GREAT ASHFIELD. A ghostly B17 is said to land on the old airstrip from time to time,the police have been called out many times by people thinking it is a drug run but have seen or heard nothing. There is also a misty figure that appears on one of the hardstands. SHEPARDS GROVE (stanton) A ghostly sterling bomber lands on the old airstrip now covered with buildings, it is said it crashed when coming into land during WW2 killing a number of people RATTLESDEN. Another ghostly B 17 flying fortress is said to land here, plus a few more ghosts around the airfield, I have investigated this airfield and saw nothing on that occasion. EYE. A digger driver working on the old airfield saw an american airman in uniform looking at him when he swung his digger round a second later he had vanished. ROUGHAM. A man was walking his dog on a bright moonlit night when someone or something started to throw nuts and bolts at him,he was in the open and saw nothing,this lasted approx fifteen minutes. there is also a ghostly flying fortress and crew on one of the hardstands. RAYDON. A ghost of a M.P. and his dog have been seen here. LAKENHEATH. A ghostly WW2 airman has been seen running near the runway it is said it's the ghost of an Australian airman killed when his plane crashed on landing.. |
