PRACTICE TIPS

BEFORE PLAYING A NEW SONG OR SIGHT READER, FOLLOW THESE PROCEDURES

1. POINT TO EACH NOTE ON THE PAGE AND SAY ITS NAME OUT LOUD
EXAMPLE: E, F, G, ECT
LIKE IF I WAS PLAYING TWINKLE, TWINKLE FOR EXAMPLE, I WOULD SAY:
GGDDEEDCCBBAAGDDCCBBADDCCBBAGGDDEEDCCBBAAG

2. GO BACK TO THE BEGINNING, ONLY THIS TIME POINT TO EACH NOTE AND SAY THE FRET NUMBER (WHERE EACH NOTE IS FINGERED) OUT LOUD
ITS VERY IMPORTANT TO SAY THIS OUT LOUD.

IF YOU MAKE THE EXTRA EFFORT, YOUR NOTE READING WILL PROGRESS MUCH FASTER
