| I believe Josiah "Joe" Rigney had four or five children, only two are listed here. Josiah is one of the eight children, his father was George T. Rigney and his mother Mahala Jones from Casey County Kentucky. |

| Most of the information listed below on the family of Josiah Rigney was sent to me by Beverly Jean Muncy Bouthillier her email address will listed on the links page. According to Beverly's notes the 1900 Missouri Census indicated that Elva was the "mother of 8 children," 7 of whom were living, there are however only 5 listed here. *Update on the names of the children, Josiah's pension file listed all 7 of his living children, the pictures taken by Scott Burow the List operator from the Rootsweb Marion Co., MO list, kindly went to the cemetery and took pictures of the Josiah Rigney family headstones supplied the 8th child, who died in infancy. He also sent me two obituaries, which gave us Emmerett Rigney's wife's name and 3 of thier children. I have had a great deal of difficulty locating Josiah and his family on any census in Missouri, if anyone has any ideas or information please contact me at WVMystica@aol.com. The husband of Viola Rigney is based on letters and postcards sent from Missouri to "home folk" in Casey County Kentucky.
